i was really sad to hear this. not as much because of ZD and the current state of EGM (other than the SFIV feature they ran at the beginning of the year, i haven't bought one in years.), but namely for the preservation of old issues going on here.

that's a lot of history. and it's sad to see it go, at least in it's conventional format. (possibly. but seeing how print is dying everywhere else...very likely.)

and if i'm gonna read news online on VG stuff, i'm honestly gonna read Kotaku, rather than 1up..since it just rounds up all the information gathered from these mag-sites anyway.

I don't care for that magazine so I really don't care. But I'd hate it if Nintendo Power ever did that... or any magazines that I read for that matter. I like being able to grab it and go. So I can read it on the toilet, at work, at work on the toilet. Anywhere!

I bought subscriptions to both not long ago. Now I'll need to cancel the PC Magazine one. I don't read magazines online.
