New Section opens up for Buying, Selling and Trading!

I have noticed over the past few months that an increasing amount of members like to list items for sale here. I asked myself how I could better serve our community of members here...and it hit me! Rather than just open up a section on the forums for members to post about items they put on Ebay....Why not allow them to create virtual stores to sell their items! I worked tirelessly last night to create a way for members who already have Paypal accounts, to create "Buy It Now" buttons that would work on the forums. Now members who wish to sell some old video games or magazines can create individual listings and set the price, shipping and quantity of the items they have! Any member with at least 10 posts can post items they have for sale in our new section, our Staff, Team Members and Premium Members....have the ability to create "Buy it Now" buttons and sell directly from Retromags without the need of having a Ebay listing.

Why not check it out and start listing your items? Retromags gets indexed by Google every day, and we show up near the top of any search terms that have to do with games/magazines. Be descriptive in your titles and you are sure to get some bites on your items! Members are encouraged to create as many listings as they wish in this section!

Spring Cleaning!

Well we are almost there! Only about 100 more items to place back into the Download manager and we will be all fixed up. I would like to thank all you guys for sticking with us through this rough transition. Its been a tough few months and I could not keep this site going without the support you guys give me. Big thanks to KiwiArcader, gladiator and Jake for helping out these past few weeks. I have a lot of stuff coming down the pipeline for this site, and hopefully once that dust settles....I can start cranking out some magazines and filling some holes in our collection. I have started reorganizing and refreshing items around this site already. I have condensed down the insane amount of usergroups we had, changed the colors to be more plesant. You may also notice that the Ebay Deals section is gone due to inactivity, and replaced with a Buying, Selling and Trading section. I have many more changes to come in the next few weeks, and look forward to any feedback you may have to make this site the #1 destination for retro video game magazines!

Twitter Integration is Coming!

Very soon Retromags will have Twitter integration! Members who have a Twitter account will be able to log into Retromags using those credentials. This means that every user from Twitter now has the ability to quickly sign into Retromags and post! Another new feature will be the ability to Tweet directly from Retromags, members can quickly update their Twitter accounts from right here. Also it will work in the reverse, Tweets made on Twitter can show up on Retromags if you choose so.

300+ Magazines Fixed, 300 To Go!

I would like to thank everyone who is helping me restore this website! There was an incredible amount of work to be done to fix this website and at the current rate we are getting things done, I have little doubt that next week at this time we will be 100% functional. Not only did our entire collection of magazines need to be uploaded to a new home, but permissions in the backend of this site had to be redone. The year 2010 will bring a great deal of structure and organization to Retromags. I will be doing my best to make processes easier and also to give you guys all the necessary information you need. More surprises coming in the near future

Nintendo Power Collection Back Online!




I know that Retromags was pretty well demolished over the past few months, and for that I apologize. First we had all of our Rapidshare links go down, and then we received a letter from our hosting company demanding the removal of our local downloads. I am working as hard as I can to bring the systems back online and appreciate everyone who is helping. The first section that has come back online is the Nintendo Power Collection. I have added working links and removed the broken ones. I am bringing up the biggest collections first and then will bring up the smaller ones. I am not only fixing the broken downloads but also making sure that Project Tracker is up to date for each collection.
