My Content
I am 32 years old. Currently work from home doing computer repair whenever/wherever needed. I enjoy collecting gaming magazines, focusing on EGM and Gamefan, but others as they come along.
I currently play games on my PSP (thank you to my future in-laws for the gift) and my PC, mainly retro gaming through various emulation programs. The most current PC game that I own would probably be Diablo 2. For some reason I quit buying games after that, guess I got addicted to it or something since other games kind of lost their allure to me after D2. On the PSP side of gaming, I have about 60 games (Puzzle Quest being my current fave in general and Virtua Tennis World Tour being my fave sports game). My PSP is modded, nerve wracking exploit but we both came through it with no problems.
My magazine collection is almost as old as me, I do have some older magazines but not gaming related, those are all listed in the forums for those interested (under help and suggestions).
I collect comics also, although extremely limited in scope for me (specialist collecting barely begins to describe me). My prize issue would have to be an error issue of Batman #300 that I have had close to 100 people in the industry (mostly store owners) tell me that they have never seen another copy of it with that error. I have collected almost all of the early appearances of Rogue (my fave character) everything from Rom (who remembers that comic?) to her appearances in X-Men comics. I also collect Mystique and Gambit appearances (have the first appearance for all three of these characters-Rogue, Avengers Annual #10, Mystique, Ms Marvel #15-16, Gambit, Uncanny X-Men #277 I believe, memory is a little foggy right now). I have sever early appearances of Wolverine and Sabretooth (although I can't bring myself to purchase eithers first appearance at well over $300 each for a near mint copy).
I used to be in sheet metal work (I am 4th generation in that field), my claim to fame there is that Tyson Foods in Fayetteville Arkansas has my work showcased in their research and development building (they didn't do it by choice I guess, my work is the stainless steel ductwork you will see if you ever look up at their facility). If you ever look at the State Capitol for Arkansas, look at the tip of the dome, my father built that years ago when former president Clinton was the governor (my father has pictures of when then Governor Clinton came by the shop he was working at to take a look at the work being done-photo op, but him and my father were good friends too). There were two versions of that cap built. One was gold (almost as thin as aluminum foil and then the current one up there made of out copper-don't worry it is just laid over concrete so it can keep it's shape). My father built both (he passed away in 1998 of a heart attack).
That is about it for me. If you have any other questions, I would be happy to answer them.
