Step 2: Installing The NewsGroup Reader

After you have signed up, log back into the NewsHosting website and you should be in your control panel. It should look something like this.....

Look to the lower right hand corner for the NewsHosting NewsGroup Reader Program icon. The program is Windows, Mac OSX and Linux friendly! Download the version that best matches your operating system. After the program has downloaded, double click on the install file and you will go through this setup.

The Welcome Screen. Just click next....

The default install location, you can leave this at the default for your installed programs directory.

The confirmation page, click "Install" to proceed.

The finished screen, you can leave the checkmark box marked, so that the program automatically launches.

The first launch screen. Enter your NewsHosting credentials into this screen, and the program will configure itself!

This is the NewsHosting Newsgroup Reader program. As you can see I typed in "Ubuntu + Iso" into the search field in the top right hand corner. The returned results are for the free operating system by Canonical. You can use the built in search feature that is provided, or you can now open up .NZB files to fetch files that you want. A third option is to use a third party indexer of Newsgroup postings. Many of these third party indexing sites are free of charge. I recommend - http://www.nzbindex.nl/
