Notable Stuff:

  • The reference to Psalm 9:1-2 appears on the masthead.
  • CGW's first three issues are completely sold out from the back issue list.
  • Chip & Ferb comic strip by Mark Eliot appears for the first time in this issue.
  • Oops! Last issue made some programmer credit errors. See the corrections in this issue's 'Hobby and Industry News'.
  • Scorpia (not her real name), one of the first ladies of gaming journalism, debuts her 'Scorpion's Lair' column in this issue. She'll keep it running for the next sixteen years, so pay attention, those with gaming journalism aspirations!
  • CGW's hosting a computer golfing tournament for players with copies of Hi-Res Computer Golf 2. If you want in, send a postcard by September 1st, 1983.
  • 'The Name of the Game' this issue could have used an extra proof-reading pass, with misspellings, missing hyphens, and other problems.
  • Call the editor: Snooper Troops II is referred to as 'Snopper Troops II' in its screenshot caption on page 41.
