Notable Stuff:

  • A subscription to GamePro costs $19 per year (six issues). Cover price is $3.50, or $21 a year, so you actually save ~9.53% off the cover price by subscribing, not 10% as advertised. (Yes, we're geeks. So sue us.)
  • If you convince a friend to sign up, you get a free poster (worth $4.95), but your friend gets zilch. So maybe you should convince your enemies to sign up instead, and give the extra posters to your friends?
  • "The secret to keeping the home market alive is clearly with quality products and a diverse selection," says Alan Fetzer in his interview. Which is why you won't catch companies like EA putting out new Madden and Call of Duty games every year.
  • The very first ProTip? "Never attack a group of enemies when there's a hostage among them...you might injure yourself!" Operation: Wolf summarized in sixteen words, y'all.
  • Before it became S.W.A.T., GamePro's cheat section was known as 'Secret Weapons'.
  • The screenshot for Wizards & Warriors II in the Short ProShots section is from the original Wizards & Warriors. What, you didn't think we'd notice?
  • The passwords given in Secret Weapons for Metroid and The Goonies II are incorrect and therefore don't work. Whoops!
