Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Unauthorized Game Secrets

About This File

This is the second edition of Prima's A Link to the Past strategy guide. This book was a massive best-seller for Prima. It was re-printed more than twenty times (this particular edition is a 22nd printing from 1997, which, it should be noted, is well into the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 era) and sold in excess of 125,000 copies.

The first edition of the guide contained strategies and walkthroughs for The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Those were dropped for this edition, but replaced with a walkthrough for Link's Awakening on the Game Boy. This lowered the page count, but not the cover price. Cheeky of you, Prima... ;)

Enjoy! ❤️

Thanks!

I used to have a copy of this release (in addition to the original print with Zelda 1 + 2), and gave this copy to my sister when she got an extra SNES from me with Zelda 3.  Sadly, that copy has been lost to the sands of time...

By the way, for anyone trying to use this as an actual guide when playing Link's Awakening, do NOT follow the enemy order for Dungeon Two for getting the Nightmare Key...  Not sure what wire's got crossed on this guide, but the correct order is the Pols Voice (the "rabbit" critter within the boxed space), then the Keese (the bat), then the Stalfos (the robed skeleton that spits arrows at you).

This section alone confused me and my dad for weeks when we first played this, as this was our first true Zelda game each back in ye olden days.  Nowadays the riddle makes sense.
