Hideo Kojima Free At last?

It seems that Hideo Kojima has officially left Konami.

As a huge Metal Gear Solid fan, to see the way he was treated as well as his workers has been a shame. For the amount of years he has been there and how he has helped that company over the years, to see it go down like it has played out over this past year or so is something else. We don't know the whole story and i hope one day we will, but the whole fiasco has been something else. I hope that Hideo continues to give the world some more great games and i wish him the best. Maybe some spiritual successor to Snatcher Perhaps.

Dude is a bit out there, but I'd be lying if I said anything less than MGS 1 and 3 were easily in my top 5 games ever.

Hard to say why the company played their hand the way they did, but it's not like Kojima will have trouble finding work or an outlet for his craft. That said, what has Konami done in the last 10 or so years?

They've killed Suikoden, Silent Hill, and now MGS. That leaves us with... ... ...? Anyone?

Something to consider, Kojima, Mikami, and Uematsu have all left high profile Japanese developers. I say there should be a place for all these great minds to go...

He will be getting into the hall of fame which is a great honor and well deserved. Now i am looking forward to see what he does with the new studio of his, as well as his partnership with sony. I know he will deliver.

No doubt he will continue to put out great stuff. I would say it's too bad that he can't make that Silent Hills game, but... call it something else. Not like anyone has an iron grip on the idea of psychological horror after all.
