GameGO! was a "hardcore" audience gaming magazine in the same vein as GameFan. Lasting only two issues, the second was only released (officially?) digitally.

Name: GameGO!

Website: www.gamegomagazine.com (defunct)

Country: USA

Number of Issues: 2

The following background info is quoted from Wikipedia:

GameGO! was an ambitious, but short-lived, video game magazine. Conceived by Eric C. Mylonas and Thomas Keller, and staffed by former GameFan editors, it not only intended to follow in the footsteps of the then-defunct GameFan Magazine, but focus even deeper into the hardcore gaming market. The magazine's coverage tended to eschew more well-known, mainstream games in favor of providing better exposure to obscure, niche, and import games.

Only one issue was ever published. It was distributed in June 2001, available at EB Games and various specialty stores across theUnited States, and was mailed to paid subscribers. A second issue was completed, but there was not enough funding available to go ahead with printing. The fate of the magazine was up in the air for an extended period, but during that time, a strongly dedicated online community thrived. However, operations were ultimately shut down in 2002 after failing to find a way to bring the print magazine back to life.

The second issue was distributed in PDF format to anyone who asked for it. It can still be found on the Internet.

While I haven't found 100% confirmation the second issue was officially digitally released by the publisher, I did find an October 2001 GameGoMagazine.com post - via Wayback Machine - stating the following:

Yes, things may be looking grim for Issue 2 ever making it to print, but we will get the full contents of it to you one way or another.

Here's an issue breakdown, such as it is. (Volume and issue numbers are indicated on cover. The publication date is mentioned internally as "2001" for both issues. Month of publication gleaned from Wikipedia. I'm sure - if July 2001 is correct for v1i2 - it was the intended publication date.)

Volume 1 Issue 1 (June? 2001)

Volume 1 Issue 2 (July? 2001) (instead released digitally post October 2001?)

Issue 1 features dual covers in a flip format - one game focused, the other anime. An issue 1 scan already exists on the net, clearly intended for RetroMags as the cbr includes the RetroMags notice.
