Jemsic 0 Posted August 9, 2006 I really love the Official Dreamcast Magazine. I own almost all of them, save for 3 or 4 near the beginning. I got a free subscription to EGM recently, and it really sucks. I don't even read them, just throw them out.
Guest RetroGoth Posted August 10, 2006 I say egm or psm too they are pretty good magazines. I have the egm#2 and psm#1 but alas no scanner I really should save money to start scanning them I want to contribute!!!
RetroDragon 0 Posted September 20, 2006 Do any of you have a list of what is still missing/in progress from the big torrent? I have around 140-160 issues of Nintendo Power">NP and most if not all still have the inserts. I have the Index for Nintendo Power">NP issues 1-60 and Nintendo Power issues 84, 85, 89, 90, 91, 92 and 103-110 that are listed as missing in the big torrent on Gay-Porn I'm not sure about all the posters that may be missing though. ~Dragon
4am 0 Posted October 2, 2006 I'm really interested in EGM and (even though I shouldn't try to slip in a second vote) Mega Play, if at all possible.
Guest PhakeDC Posted November 7, 2006 I remember Gamesmaster was a decent mag, till they started using cheap paper and all the PSOne bias.
RetroDragon 0 Posted November 7, 2006 I'd like to see at least the SwatPro part of GamePro.
ViewtifulJay 0 Posted November 8, 2006 The only mags I have consistenly read are Nintendo Power when I was a kid, GameFan and Play. Since seeing the Nintendo Power">NP scans I was thinking I might help out with issues of GameFan, I have quite a few issues, nothing from volume 8 but about 20 issues give or take in the middle. generalleoff 0 Posted October 1, 2007 I'm for PSM. willing to help get them scanned as well. Been wanting to get it done for a few years.
racketboy 0 Posted October 1, 2007 I had a chance at buying over 100 issues of Next Generation a few months back ......unfortunatly it was about $100 and no one chipped in when it was announced :unhappy: Holy cow -- you should have let me know about that (never saw the announcement) $100 for a 100 issues of NextGen is a pretty good deal.... Many issues go for $5 a pop. wait... weren't there only like 70 issues of NextGen?

I will let you know if I see any other good deals on eBay EDIT Looks like 85 issues http://www.magweasel.com/wiki/Next_Generation
Killy 0 Posted October 3, 2007 EGM of the 80s and 90s would be good. Fond memories of the large features they did on games like Phantasy Star 4. Same goes for EGM2, they had some great articles in there, and the guides they started doing later were useful too, as they often covered lesser-known games. clicked 0 Posted October 4, 2007 EGM from the 80s -90s definitely.
WiggumBeard 0 Posted October 13, 2007 I like the idea of 80's-90's EGM. But I say GameFan as well.
duckhunt 0 Posted November 6, 2007 dreamcast magazine will help keep a dead system alive. a system that shoudnt have died.
meppi 47 Posted November 6, 2007 dreamcast magazine will help keep a dead system alive. a system that shoudnt have died. So very true. I love the little white system. Just an hour ago I was playing KOF 99 Dream Match on it. I'm planning on buying a whole bunch of Japanese games for it coming Christmas as well. I have nearly all issues of the unofficial DreamCast Magazine from the UK, and I'm looking for my missing Official UK issues. But both of these magazines are larger than regular magazines, so I'm holding of on scanning them for after I'm done with OSSM and CVG. After that I'll certainly move on to those.
jccalhoun 3 Posted November 19, 2007 How about some computer-centric mags? CGW put out their first 100 issues as free pdfs. How about the rest?

After that I'll certainly move on to those. I had all the US Official Dreamcast magazines. I remember when they just decided to discontinue the magzine before my subscription was up I got like 2 years of PSM for free. But back to subject I don't have them anymore. I don't remember what I did with them but I remember they were abnormally huge. They would not fit into magazine boxes. That may be why I got rid of them but I'm ticked that I got rid of them. kizer21 0 Posted February 6, 2008 I loved GameFan! I had a subscription for a short time. Of course, I think we should perfect the Nintendo Power issues first. Rescan certain issues and such. Then you can say, Nintendo Power is complete except for maybe the newer issues.
Dreamcast18 0 Posted February 9, 2008 I'm really after Dreamcast Magazines, i had a huge pagage of accesories and a US dreamcast that i couldnt use (power supply popped) and finally got a AU dreamcast from the pawnbrokers. YAY, love the dreamcast. Does anyone know if the portable "Treamcasts" off eBay are any good? EDIT: I also just noticed and find it funny i have 999 in my member no. 9/99 FTW lol.
meppi 47 Posted February 9, 2008 Not sure how reliable those Treamcasts are, but they seem to be pretty decent for what you can expect from a pirated system. Like those old Nes and famicom knock offs, they do the job, but aren't in the same league quality wise as the originals. Found an article on one of the several different Treamcast systems out there here. Pretty funny that 9/99 coincidence.

E-Day 5,684 Posted February 10, 2008 I voted for EGM since there aren't that many done yet, and Phillyman has a ton waiting, but I would also like to see more GamePro. Those were my two favourites.
SparoHawk 0 Posted February 10, 2008 I voted for EGM. I have several reasons. At the time, the only magazines that came to my country were GameFan, EGM and GamePro. Of the three I liked EGM the most. I really liked some of the sections they ran and I really became fond of the Hsu and Chan strips. I hope we can get more issues online.
E-Day 5,684 Posted February 10, 2008 Peste Phillyman about it. He has a bunch waiting to be scanned . I offered to help edit them and such. So hopefully more can get out quicker.
