ADF is not auto cropping as well anymore

Maybe someone who has been using an ADF longer than I have can answer this question. I have found lately that my Fujitsu is not auto cropping along the sides of the page as consistently as it used to. Take this page for instance:

PlayStation Solutions Issue 04 (January 1997) page 010.jpg

Most of the pages are coming out like this these days whereas in the past I would sometimes get a page that wasn't cropped on one side. Maybe once an issue. Now most pages are coming out like this.

That could just be how the cover on my version was cut at the printers. I've noticed differences between the same physical issues when I have multiples. My concern is the white/grey strips along the left and right sides. It's still cropping the top and bottom just fine.

Oh that's right...you returned the ix1500.  I've been thinking that's what you were using.  Might be harder to get support for the fi-7160.  Amazon reviews seem to indicate that the fi-7160s being sold there aren't intended to be sold in the USA, so while legal to own, warranty coverage doesn't apply.
