It whould have a real old school feel...

The thing with final fantasy is that none of the games are linked, and the combat system and skills change with each game. It's like a whole new game each time with a new world and characters. (with the exception of FFX and FFX-2)

If you are into old school RPG you can try to play FFIII (the SNES one that is actually FFVI in japan) many people think that FFVII is the best, I have played that game into the ground. It was amazingly beautiful for it's time.

If you are into RPG's I'd at least give them a try.
