Have you considered newsgroup distribution? I noticed that there's a good portion of NP up on various groups, but not all of it, so I figured it was probably done by a 3rd party.

NewsGroup distribution, while certainly limiting who can download it (though my ISP offers NG access with their internet package), would probably take a lot of the load off of the initial seeders.
