It's actually Dec/Jan of the same year. Back in the early 90's SEGA owned their own wormhole and they used it to do some some weird space time inversion on the magazine.

Man that is a crazy way of numbering...sega sure knew how to make

games, but mags....well the numbering part sucked....

It was probably too costly to make a monthly magazine, especially since they were sending them out for free for a while to those who registered their systems. Plus I am sure they would have been much skinner if they came out every month. But they could have started the magazine in July/August to make life easier.

Dec/Jan issue would have been written and published in Nov for release in Dec/Jan so I'd count the Dec/Jan issue in the section for the year of the Dec personally because of the actualy release of the mag not the time it was covering.

Well there were a lot of screwy things that Sega did with Visions. One of the really dumb things was they would not allow the reviewers to tell the truth. They made them actually say nothing but good things about the games. So if they thought the game was crap... too bad they weren't allowed to say so. Sega ran the show and if you didn't like that you don't work on Visions. It was kinda nice when the GamePro publisher took over but that too did not last long.
