DealBot 2 Posted July 16, 2007 A high profile Nintendo executive has failed to rule out 2007 as the year of the first ever release on their WiiWare service, however the safe bet seems to be on 2008 welcoming the first release by developers. The same exec also indicated that its the end of the road for the Gameboy series. View the full article
MBJ 0 Posted July 17, 2007 R.I.P. Gameboy. I hope that Nintendo gets wise to the idea of a Gameboy compilation on the DS. How cool would it be to have about 15 or 20 first party GB titles on a DS cart? My list would be: Super Mario Land 1 & 2 Wario Land 1, 2, & 3 Tetris Link's Awakening (with DX or original option) Kirby's Dream Land 1 & 2 Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Land 1, 2, & 3 Pokemon Red/Blue Pokemon Gold/Silver Alleyway Solar Striker A compilation like that could provide tons of retro handheld fun. risexagain 0 Posted August 26, 2007 A compilation of games would be good but they would have released them on the GBA it would be a waste of the touch screen abilitys.
Zilch 0 Posted August 27, 2007 It'd be nice to see, but the chances are probably slim.

Christopher1982 0 Posted September 4, 2007 Oh man, I'd love to see the Super Mario Land games re-released. As for WiiWare -- I'm really excited about this. It'll be interesting to see what designers come up with.
NostalgiaGamer 0 Posted September 5, 2007 It's to bad they're quitting the GB hardware... I never got into the DS, as I barely have enough free time to play my Wii. Good thing I have ROMs RIP Game Boy...
joerocks1981 1 Posted September 11, 2007 it's really sad to see the end of the GB. at least it went out with a bang with the FFVI rerelease. to be honest, there's more titles on it that i like than the DS...that is, until Front Mission comes out. Nesseight 0 Posted September 12, 2007 Gameboy had a good run, but it's games didn't have nearly as much blood as Virtualboy's.
