OK, I'm done with NFCN #6. I tried uploading it to the FTP, but apparently, my filenames are banned? Until then, if you'd like to see it, I hosted it on my own server...

Complete: Nintendo Fun Club News 6 (100%)

Looking at this again after years and years.... did anyone else think Link looked like an angry woman because of the pantyhose and skirt he's wearing?

I know that someone released the 1990 NWC booklet a year or so ago as I looked at it just recently when looking through my hard drive for some older releases that are no longer in circulation. I don't remember who scanned it originally but I just wanted to give you a heads up.

As for the Nintendo Fun Club issues, there's a complete set at Gay-Porn but it was released by somone who had a less than amicable split with Retromags (long story) so if we wanted to release a public set of these ourselves this could be useful.

I own 4 out of the 7 Fun club issues, and am constantly looking for the first 3 (along with the powerflash issues)

Retromags would expect no one to pass our scans off as there own, so even if a magazines has been scanned, we will scan it ourselves unless the original scanner donates there scans to be used by us.

Er, well, you can certainly have the "rights" to mine - consider them donated. If you put my name in there somewhere that'd be neat, but not necessary. I was going to scan all that stuff anyway, and if other folks like it and want to read it, I'm all over that. Although I think someone with more patience than me should erase my answers to the crossword on the last page.

I WAS going to have Acrobat OCR it for the PDF version, but although my files are plenty big enough to qualify as 300DPI, Acrobat thinks they aren't, and somehow during the scanning/trimming process, they turned into 96dpi (they're really not, but some meta tag in them says they are and Acrobat won't let me convince it). I'll keep monkeying with it, but the files are ready to FTP whenever I'm told how to get the server to actually accept my files. :)
