meppi 47 Posted December 17, 2007 It would take me a while to catalog all the games for those sytems. That's why I'm happy that I started cataloging everything videogame related I bought, including the place where I bought it, price and date. It would be an impossible to even try and start retracing everything right now. I've got an Atari 2600 lying around here somewhere wit 5 or so games. Got it as a gift from a friend many years ago. But I'm not collecting for it. Wouldn't mind coming across a copy of Amidar though. For the rest, I've started replacing my pal collection of games with Japanese versions, especially up till the Dreamcast. Since we always got 50Hz conversion problems, and lots of games that didn't came out here. 80-90% of my time is spent playing retro games, so thats where most of my purchasing is done. Been on a real Dreamcast spree lately. Strange how I've been rediscovering the system by buying Japanese games, even though I own the pal versions ever since the system was released over here. Being an arcade gamer has put me in the position where I'm hardly interested in the actual "next gen systems", so I only own a Wii and that won't change any time soon. WipEout might push me into having to get a PS3 eventually though, if it lives up to the legacy that is...
E-Day 5,710 Posted December 18, 2007 As of right now, I have the following At least one of each system boxed and complete, except Dreamcast): Sega Master System: 144 games Sega Genesis: 155 games Sega CD: 45 games Sega Genesis 32X: 24 games Sega Saturn: 11 games Sega Dreamcast: 12 games Atari 2600: About 30 games Super Nintendo: About 20 games Nintendo 64: About 12 games I have a few Master System games on the way to me from eBay. I also have a TurboGrafx-16 (CIB) on the way with one game, and an Atari Jaguar CIB and Jaguar CD CIB on the way with about 10 games. I am not sure I will keep the Jaguar system though. I really shouldn't have bought it. I'll have to see when it gets here.
meppi 47 Posted December 18, 2007 I finally got a Jaguar earlier this year, simply for Tempest 2000. Personally I think it's worth the money just for that game. (I don't really want any others) I did have to buy a RGB cable though, since the original cables that came with it made everything look so washed out and blurry. Schloss Ritter 6 Posted December 18, 2007 I once had a NES with about 20 games, a Game Boy (original 4 battery beast) with less than 10, and a Super NES with about a dozen. When the Nintendo 64">N64 came out, I was old enough to buy my on consoles and games but I couldn't afford that system. I had to pass on the Gamecube as well, since I saw very few early titles I wanted. I finally sold out to Sony though about four years ago when there were a few games I wanted more for the PS2. Since I hadn't played any of my consoles in at least a year, I ended up trading in all my Nintendo systems for the PS2 and a couple games (a few hundred dollars total at the time). Funny thing is, right now I play the PS2 about as much as I was playing my Nintendo systems five years ago - hardly at all. I still play most often on my computer, as I've still got a backlog of a dozen or so games from the last few years to finish. I'm also finishing all my old Nintendo system games, along with others I've always had a partial eye on over the years that I've (re)acquired through electronic means. *cough* google *cough*
