I prefer reading everything offline. Books, magazines, strategy guides. But I do like how much less room digital copies of stuff take. And like you said, digital is better than nothing :)

I agree with you about books and mags.  But you didn't mention comics, and as that is something I personally enjoy on a level of magnitude millions of times more than games or magazines, I will point out that I definitely prefer my comics to be digital.  Keeping my enormous collection organized and easily accessible is FAR easier once I switched to digital, and I've gotten so used to reading comics on my monitor that now when I hold a real comic in my hands, I can't get over how SMALL they are and how tiny the text in the word balloons is to the point that it detracts from my enjoyment level.  And since all comics have been created and released digitally for years now, you don't ever have to worry about bad scans, since they AREN'T scans.

I recently acquired several of the “missing” PSM issues. I have searched all over the site for who/where to donate them to. I am posting in this thread in the hopes that someone is able to do that. I live in Southern California and would be more than happy to ship them to someone with the means to scan them.

E-day -- reminder, I have that October 92 issue of VG&CE. I do not mind donating it, however I cannot currently afford the shipping back and forth. I know how pathetic that must seem, haha, but I am on that ridiculously tight of a budget this year. But the offer stands. It is a great issue, to me their best issue, but that might be what personal meaning the issue has to me, ha!

I will definitely cover the cost of shipping it to me and then shipping it back. Regular mail shouldn't be a lot, so I'll be happy to cover the shipping costs. Message me!

An update since September:

As I continue to release what I scanned in the last batch, I have been manually scanning a bunch of catalogs, supplements, newsletters, booklets and brochures, as well as a couple of proper magazine. The first chunk is my own stuff that I already had on hand and rediscovered while painting and rearranging my basement to make it habitable and comfortable, and the second bunch was another donation from CIVICMINDED that he sent back in the spring. I was going to leave those until I was done his initial donation, but because my setup downstairs for debinding magazines was accessible during painting, I bumped them ahead of in the queue.

The artbooks are small, about the size of a supplement in both dimensions and page count.

Your can't really see them that well because they have that protective paper stuff over them. Depths how they turn out during editing I may need to scan that page without it.

Cleaning out my mothers house and have come across some magazines that might fill in some gaps. Wondering if this is the right place to post them so I can donate them since I can't scan them.

Official playstation magazine 72, 71, 13, 14, 12, 38

Nintendo power 129, 130, 128

Wcw nwo revenge prima official guide

Castlevania symphony of the night survival guide

Might come across more later. If this is the wrong place where else can I donate them?
