Looking For A Good Multifunction

I am tired of having inkjet printers where the ink dries up if you don't use it (and I use my printer once every few months), and my Trusty Canon scanner is hitting its 8th birthdayand is slow as hell scanning at 300dpi. I am looking at getting a laser multifunction unit at a good price.

Ideally, I would want ot to be network-ready (or even wireless), colour printing, with a flatbed scanner and ADF that can copy/scan both sides of the page.

Obviously, I will pay through the nose for such a thing, so I am wondering what I can get for $200-$300 (or less - I'm cheap), that will do most of this. I can pass on the colour printing part since I don't really ever print in colour. It does have to be network-ready (or wireless), and I would prefer it to have an ADF that scans both sides, but will sacrifice with single scan.

Does anyone know of a good unit that is affordable and does most, if not all, of what I want? I am keeping this site in mind when looking at units, so I am hoping users here have some ideas on what to get. No inkjet all-in-one's though
