Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said in last week's financial briefing for its FY08 results that they know they have to review the best possible solution for the lack of internal memory in the Wii. "Statistically speaking, it is true that there are a small number of customers who feel that the flash memory is too small, while many others find that they have plenty of memory" adding, "However, because this small number of people are none other than the most avid players, we know we have to review the best possible solution to eliminate their inconvenience."

Translation: "HOLY CRAP we never realized what a cash cow this thing would be. We roll cigars with money. We blow our noses on money. We wipe our cracks with money. we actually sleep on beds of money now like Scrooge McDuck. Were gonna add a half GB of memory to the unit and release it this Christmas for an extra 200 dollars. HAHAHA screw you stupid consumers."

I don't think they're that bad but if they could just let me put a 32GB SD card in my Wii and somehow have the system use it as internal memory I would be happy.

That, or let me buy a 320GB external HD for peanuts and let me connect it ot the Wii via it's USB ports and let me run WiiWare and VC games from it as well as downloadable content for existing games. That would be ideal, and you would have a ton of space for little money.
