Buster Douglas Boxing for the Genesis... I guess this was originally going to be a Mike Tyson game, but when Buster Douglas beat Tyson for the belt after Tyson's laziness (he SHOULD have won that fight), they gave it to Buster... Buster was a mediocre boxer..

Seriously this game sucks

Michael Jordan...Yeah I always wanted to play as HIM (and Shaquille O'Neal & Charles Barkley) in NBA Jam,NBA Hangtime ...

And I never understood why they were absent ? Because of license their names to smething like this  ?

Exactly. They were big enough stars that they had their own licensing deals.

Instead of the separate Jordan and Shaq games, EA should have made Jordan vs Shaq: One on One. They made Jordan vs Bird many years earlier, so it would be a logical continuation. Probably would have been a huge hit.

Shaq Fu, people. Shaq Fu.

There is a pretty great article in an old Next Generation I have concerning Shaq Fu. To summarize it says that not only is it one of the ultimate arguments against licensed games, but apparently rotoscoping is worst possible technique to create animation for a fighting game. Apparently, one of Shaq's hobbies at the time was martial arts (hence the push to create a fighting game), and rotoscoping Shaq doing martial-arts was deemed by developers (maybe EA though?) to be the only LOGICAL conclusion for using Shaq's likeness in a 16 title.
