1) The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past

2) Chrono Trigger

3) Super Mario Kart

4) Street Fighter II Turbo

5) Super Metroid

6) Tetris Attack

7) Super Mario World II: Yoshi's Island

8) Super Mario World

9) Final Fantasy VI

10) Secret of Mana

I can't believe im the first person to mention Tetris Attack! 12 years on and I still play that in 2 player. A list of 10 games is not enough. Its painful to omit 'Super Mario RPG' and 'Seiken Densetsu 3'.

As many have said before, picking only 10 is tough. We are talking here

about the greatest console ever created!

But still, due to lack of access at the time they were released and the my

current lack of free time, I have not played a single Dragon Warrior/Quest

on this console. Yet. And it is very hard to find someone out there capable

of saying bad things about those games (unless he/she/it really hates RPGs)

I guess at least one of them would probably enter my top 10. And that is why

I am going to restrain my self of posting a list.

Secret Of Mana is also on my "need to play" list and it very likely it would

end up on my list (for the same reasons mentioned for Dragon Quest)

But do you really think I would at least mention some games? Ha!

- Chrono Trigger

- Mario RPG

Those would obviously be right there at the top

- Rock and Roll Racing

No one have mentioned it so far (unless I've missed a post). I guess

we have more RPG fans than racing fans over here, but still, awesome

graphics, fantastic sound (one can really start apreciating Paranoid

after removing Ozzy vocals) and marvelous game play.

- Donkey Kong Country 1,2 and 3

Playstation who???

- Super Mario Kart

The one to rule'em all. Well, actually the GBA version (Super Circuit)

is also great. Mostly because it has all the SNES tracks and very

similar physics

- Final Fantasy IV (II on USA)

The game that started that automatic response triggered when one

talk to another about Final Fantasy games: "Oh, Final Fantasy... great

story, great game"

- Super Mario World

The first and also one of the best

- Super Mario World 2: Yoshi Island

Great. Simply great.

- Super Street Fighter 2:

The best fighting game ever, on the best console ever, with the best

non-arcade controller ever (by the way, SSF2 Turbo is the best

fighting game ever)

- International Superstar Soccer 1 and 2

Showing EA how it's done

I'll stop here. There are so many more to mention. And I'd just like to

say that X-Men Mutant Apocalipse, mentioned above, although not on my

top 10, is a good game, great graphics, sound and controller (CAPCOM,

of course) and it was the first game I've bought for my SNES, so I have

very fond memories of it

1. Zelda III - A Link to the Past

2. Super Metroid

3. Super Mario World

4. Super Mario Kart

5. Super Mario All Stars

6. R-Type III - The Third Lightning

7. Final Fantasy IV translation

8. Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island

9. Final Fantasy III

10. Super Street Fighter II (with turbo cheat!)

I'm going to give an honourable mention to Goof Troop, since this appears to be so underappreciated. I only recently learned (thanks to Retro Gamer) that this was created by the man behind the first Resident Evil.
