As many of you have noticed I am kicking ass on the EGM magazine section. As such many of you may not know exactly what is going on.....Below is the roadmap of where we are going with the EGM section. I had made a Goal of wanting to achieve 150 scanned magazines by myself. You can see my progress in my WIP therad in this section. Anyways I only have 35 more magazines to scan to hit that goal.....The picture below will show you what is coming.

I would also like to thank E-Day for compiling my scans into releases so that I may concentrate on just scanning my ass off. And dont worry when I hit my goal of 150 scans, I wont be throwing the towel in, I will probably just drop back from 16 scans per week to around 5 per week .....while concentrating on editing everything I have scanned over the past year or so :)

Questions or Comments? :P

So you own all these? This should make for a epic collection for the site.

Yes it took quite a bit of time to acquire them, Thank Monkeybot as he met me and gave me countless magazines....

and also Tortri for mailing me a ton of EGM mags.......without both of them helping out this website, I would not be as far along in this project.

Hi,

Is issue #57 of EGM about Silent Hill 1? Have you uploaded it anywhere?

Here is a list of EGM: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expert_Gamer

Just for clarification, Expert Gamer and EGM are two different magazines. According the Wikipedia article, Expert Gamer is what used to be EGM2 (a spin-off series from the original Electronic Gaming Monthly).

Ah ok! Thanks for the information.

Found the info about Electronic Gaming Monthly.

Edit:

I just looked at the screen-shot again and Phillyman doesn't have 2004 but stops at May 2003. The issue I'm wondering about in Jan 2004.

@Phillyman,

Could I request that issue of EGM if you have it, thanks.

Your going to have to wait a few months, We only scan items that are at least 5 years back......so up to August 2003 as of this post.

Just wondering if your collection includes the special 3D issue that was released (I forget the year--sometime in the 3DO era)? I haven't been able to find any info online about it, but I may have a copy of it somewhere in my belongings. I kept it around for a long time because of the Star Control 2 info they had, but I don't know if it's still with me. I'd love to see it again sometime, that is if I can't track down my old copy. If I can, I'm happy to scan and submit it. Just wondering if you already were aware of it or had it.

Also, I really appreciate these scans! It's so cool to see these issues I haven't read in years. It's nice to see them preserved and shared. Thanks!

UPDATE: Found the mag with Chromatek glasses! I'm happy to scan and upload it if that's not already being done.

It's hard to say. I have one issue in my scan pile. Apart from that, I don't know anyone else who has any they are willing to scan. The main problem is that Steve Harris plans to make all the back issues available on the iPad, and once that happens (earliest date being mentioned is year-end), EGMs will be removed from here since they will be available from the publisher. So people may be wary about spending time scanning and editing EGMs just to have them pulled in a few months time.

But the main issue is that the contributing scanners don't have any issues to scan.
