Do you have to pay the fee to get access to all the scans? Im looking for as many as I can find at the moment, and found out about this place from the pirate bay.

No....

You can also help with scanning or editing to become a premium member.

Also right now many, many things are not getting released because no one has the time to edit them.

(and ,on my end , I have no way to get these edits I have done out due to various issues)

Or you can just keep an eye on pirate bay and mininova and grab the public releases.

I am willing to pay for all the issues, and I also have a scanner if you guys need stuff scanned, only problem I have with scanning is I have nothing to scan, hence the reason im here. Ive gotten all the public releases on the pirate bay, but im looking for a set

My main motive though is to throw together a couple of dvd's worth of the Nintendo Power magazines for retro value, as well i havent read them in ages

Almost all (if not all) the Nintendo Powers are scanned, not all are edited, few are currently released.

We do not sell the issues.

This site does collect funds to help buy more books and support itself, and by donating you get some perks like access to the links and some direct downloads and more....

Could you explain to me what is involved in the 'editing'? Other than checking that all the pages are there, cropping them in Photoshop, RARing them and renaming the file to .cbr?

why doesn't retromags just make 2 sections? like, one for "scanned but not edited" and 1 for "done"? to use an analogy used in another thread, it'd be like distributing roms that are complete w/an emulator, but also allowing roms downloads that didn't have an emulator and would be marked as such. then, ppl who don't give a damn about having an edited sheet can just download the unedited crappy-looking 1 (correct me if that is not the purpose of editing...)

My guess is because no one wants to "half-butt" any issue on this site, so if it isn't done and looking perfect, then it's not really done and ready to go.
