Multifunction Gaming Devices

  1. 1. Do you prefer a gaming device that integrates other functions or is gaming alone enough of a function?

    • I like my system to do everything possible! (MP3, networking, web browsing, etc.)

    • It's nice (but not imperative) to have an extra function or two but it's not that important as long as the gaming is good.

    • Gaming is enough! I bought my system so that I could play video games. If I want to do other stuff I'll use a computer!

Consoles and handhelds have come a long way since 1989. Products such as the multifunction XBOX 360, the web browsing and MP3 playing PSP, and the forthcoming Nintendo DS web browser and TV card indicate that there may be a demand for game systems to do more than just run game software. So how important are these extra features to you?

I like PocketPCs since I can play games with emus, read my favorite books and listen to music.
