Which were you a fan boy of back in 1993 and why :)

I was a Nintendo Fanboy ......I really never was into Sports games .....and although Sonic and Alterbeast were fun .....I saw no real need to buy Genesis games ......I owned both systems ......But I think i only have 4 Genesis games ......While i have 30+ SNES games

There Lineup just appealed to me more ......I mean look

Super Mario World

Star Fox

Super Punch Out

Super Metroid

Legend Of Zelda LTTP

F-Zero

Mario Kart

Stunt Race FX

ChronoTrigger

Final Fantasy

Street Figther

Mortal Kombat

Killer Instinct

Donkey Kong Country

But a factor in my light Genesis collection ......Is that back then Suburban Cable offered The Sega Channel .......and i did use that for quite a while .....mainy for Comix Zone and Sonic Pinball ......and a few others

Yea i probably know this has been discussed before .....but i am bored .....Lets hear some good Fanboyism :P

Now that I look back I think the Snes was better. But there are some games that I just had to play that were only for the Genesis.

Phantasy Star II

Phantasy Star III

Phantasy Star IV

Castle Of Illusion

Sonic I

Sonic II

Sonic III

Shinning Force

Shinning in the Darkness

Streets of Rage II

Dr. Robotniks Mean Bean Machine

Revenge of Shinobi

Super Monaco GP

I must confess I never owned a SNES :o

I went from Pong box thingie>2600>NES>Genesis>3DO>PS1+N64

And now I just retrogame...where I do enjoy SNES greatly.

As for 1993 I was graduating HS (OOPS is my age showing  ) and partying way to much for me to spend alot of time gaming that year :D

Many of My all time favorites were on the SNES.

Super Metroid and Zelda LTTP are some of the best games ever made IMHO.

Other all time faves include F-Zero, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, Star Fox, and let's not forget Pilotwings!

SNES all the way . I lived with nintendo since the NES era so it's been a while. I never had anything against sega because their games were pretty good as well. Still, nothing compared to SNES super punch out or chrono trigger. Pretty amazing how fun I still find them after such a long time.
