Were You A Member Of The Fun Club?

I am wondering how many people were members of the original Nintendo Fun Club. What kind of subscription package did you get? Did you ever order any of the items available in the "Fun Stuff" section? I'm also curious if anyone still has any of their original Fun Club stuff today. Do you still read your issues?

Technically I was a member, but only for the last issue. After that, it converted over to Nintendo Power. But yes, I still have that issue (R.C. Pro-Am) and read it.

Nope I never got the fun club :( I didn't start getting NP until the 2nd issue. I missed the first one but was able to get it from a friend. But I've been a subscriber ever since.

I was a proud member but only for the last 2 issues before the switch to Nintendo Power.

I got a Nintendo Power pin and certificate "Team Power" dunno if that was later down the road

I was a member too, but I didn't get in until after the first issue was already released. I got all the rest and got Nintendo Power for about a year.

I loved the Nintendo Fun Club News! I was obsessed with Nintendo and SMB at the time and to receive free stuff was very exciting. Then they went and broke news on the SMB Minus Worlds and I nearly lost it. It turned out to be not very exciting, but the hype was enjoyable.

I still have many of my original items from the old days including this....

Anyway, being the OCD person I am, I had 2 cards.. one for my pocket and one to keep mint in an album.

My friend was and he received a copy of Dragon Warrior for free. I never liked Nintendo power because it didn't give you as much bang for your buck as VG/CE and EGM did. I always bought those off the shelf with my allowance.
