Anyone Remember Gamepro Television

Between 1990 and 1991 Gamepro had a television show that came on early Saturday morning. It was hosted by J.D. Roth and Brennan Howard. They would review games with cool yet corny special effects with these guys jumping into games. My favorite part of the show was the "Cutting Edge". When NEO GEO first appeared on the market it was featured here as well as the Game Genie. They would have readers send in their questions via recording along with high scores.

This show was funny when Brennan was co-hosting and it was sad to see this show disappear. At one time I had almost all of the shows on VHS but now I have downloaded what I can from Youtube. You can check it out for yourself.

Yeah anything on TV that was video game related I was super excited but that is because it was so rare back then.

Yeah, Brennan used to always say, "Stoked!" I agree with Thor though. It was really rare to actually see stuff on television, so we ate it all up. The only other show I remember at this point was Nick Arcade, and I spent more time yelling at the people who sucked at games.

Oh my God, they have episodes on Youtube. Oddly enough, there are pretty watchable. Kind of like an old version of X-Play but spoken half in surfer-dude, and they don't talk as fast.

This is the precursor to the parody of it, "Awesome Video Games". Case in point, usage of the term "Dudes and dudettes".
