Best Artwork In A Videogame

I have always loved Dragon Quest and the artwork for it but there are so many other games that have great artwork. I like the old Legend of Zelda artwork too. What are some of your favorites?

The old Zelda 1 and 2 artwork is spectacular, you're right. I always loved Ninja Gaiden's cinematic style, Megaman's cover art, and you can't beat some of the old paintings done for the covers of Atari and NES games. Joust, PacMan, and Millipede come to mind.

The original Mario + Super Mario Bros. artwork is great. So many.

I loved the Sega games artwork, too.

my fav artworks are the zombie pics from resident evil 2, all mario bros 3 artwork and and the boxart for nights into dreams on saturn (sorry i dont have examples of this artwork

I think the artwork in Street Fighter 2 The World Warrior is some of the best that I've seen.

I love the work that designer Akiman did with the characters.

They all look so individual and I don't think any other fighting game's characters have as much charm.
