I have been using utorrent for a while it's great. It allows you to select what files you want to download in a torrent.

From what I've heard Utorrent isn't trust worthy anymore since it was sold to Bram Cohen's Bittorrent Inc which by the way is now in Cahoots with the MPAA or RIAA ( I can't remember which). They changed Utorrent from open source to closed source, and people have attested and I have seen for myself that it does act suspiciously. Using Peer Guardian or any outgoing port monitor you can see Utorrent now regularily tries to connect with Bittorrent Inc's servers and send data. What this data is we can't say as Utorrent has now become closed source.

That's ... disturbing. I've been thinking of moving from Azureus to uTorrent (everyone seems to use it nowadays as can be evidenced by this thread) for some time but not if they're gonna narc on me. I'll have to look into this.

I have used Azureus for a few years now. I like it, but it's a resource hog, especially since the update to Azureus "Vuze". Bloated garbage. I may downgrade to an earlier version or change to something else. I'd like something a bit less demanding on my system.
