Without a doubt one of the worst Playstation games of all time. I know I played it, everything from the controls to what you have to do to complete each level is just plain awful.

Considering how good the Super NES version was, I can safely say this is not how you treat a video game property at all. A shame, really, the first one was so charming.

Just to rub in the hurt, here's a video of Bubsy 3D in action. If that's not the most grating voice ever used for a video game mascot, I'll eat my own head:

They really dropped the ball on converting 2D platformers to 3D. That environment is so ugly!

Games like that are the reason why I was not really interested in the 32-bit consoles when they came out and stuck with the 16-bit consoles. 2D games were pretty much abandoned and we got tons of stuff like this. I don't know how anyone at Accolade thought that this game was a good idea, looked good, and was worth putting out like that. I know 3D games like that all looked like crap back in the day, but this one was worse than most.

And the fact that they didn't continue use Rob Paulsen (aka Yakko Warner, Pinky) as the voice of Bubsy. I always liked Bubsy as a character, though I only played the first game.

You should try Q*Bert PS1 it is an amazing game. I love how the game literally unfolds as you make your way through the game.
