Top 10 Reasons to Relaunch IGN Dreamcast

The Dreamcast may have died years ago, but it lives on over at IGN. The has relaunched its Dreamcast site with a very specific goal: re-review every title that appeared on the ill-fated console.

And what, their first reviews weren't good enough? IGN just wants to get some more traffic is all and they figure they can take the very-much-alive DC scene and turn them into loyal readers. IGN can kiss my butt, that site is 95% advertisements and paid reviews, its like an online Yellow Pages and somewhere in there is a few piss-poor written reviews hidden underneath 50 flash ads.

I used to like IGN, way back before they got so ad-friendly. Every links requires a login, or an advertisement to be bypassed and most things require a paid account.

I check IGN daily and find it to be a decent source of video game news. The ads aren't so bad since have an ad blocker installed so I just end up seeing a lot of blank spaces and no pop-ups. Do any of you have suggestions for alternative sources of video game news?

I actually pay the Insider price for some of the high-res video content, used to turn it into DVD's for the game store I worked at. Other then that, there's not much else I use it for.

yeah, their news usually is pretty good.... but if they get a lot of traffic in their dreamcast site, then sega MUST notice. their have been rumors of a dreamcats re-release in japan....
