How many magazines can I download per week or month?

Wow. This site has changed a lot ^_^.

Anyway, I used to be a Premium Member (with a lifetime membership) but now it says I'm a "member" or "Advanced member" depending on which part of my profile I look at.

Since so much has changed, I figured I better double check:

My Questions:

1. How many magazines can I download per week or month? (given my current status)

2. Are any of the magazine downloads from another site or are they ALL now from megaupload?

3. Does it matter in regards to the download limit (# of mags per week or month) if I dl a mag from megaupload or another site?

Since there are no more direct downloads, there is no limit to how much you can download. Since they are almost all on MegaUpload, the only limit is how many they allow you to download.

When I go to MegaUpload via a "download" the magazine button, it shows me a little chart comparing the Premium download service to the Free one.

Under the Free Category and next to "Downloads allowed in 24 hours" it says "very limited".

Does anybody know exactly what they mean by that? ;-)

Is it a certain *number* of downloads in a 24 hour period?

A *total amount of MB* (megabytes) you can download in a 24 hour period?

Something else?

Most hosting services limit free users to either

1. A certain number of files a day

2. A limit on the size of files you can download or

3. A combination of both.

From memory I think MU places increasing time periods between allowing files when you are a free user although if you change IP address you can get around this, albeit inconveniently.

I'm not a premium member, but from what I understand, MU's "very limited" translates to the ability to only download one file at a time from a given IP address, and it's only cut me off after I've requested multiple downloads that came to somewhere between 2-3 gigabytes in total size. Even then, if you let an hour or so go by, you can download more stuff from them without going through the hassle of mucking around with getting a new IP address.
