Time for some simple interactive humour. :)

Head over to http://videogamena.me and generate some names (uncheck the box down at the bottom so you can get some real corkers). Post your five favorite names, and any commentary/speculation on what the game might play like.

1) Nerf Samurai Fest - Obviously aimed at the younger crowd, this is a Wii game with a soft foam sword attachment. You wander through a Renaissance Fair, challenging other festival goers to swordplay in an effort to win a pass to compete against the big boys in the Asian arena.

2) Urban Yak Anthology - Game featuring a Yak in a downtown setting, probably best on the DS or 3DS. Each cartridge has a series of anywhere between ten and twenty mini-games involving this bovine's attempt to navigate city life in a realistic but funny fashion: walking through crowds without bumping into too many people, climbing up and down staircases, crossing busy streets, eating fruit at a vendor stand without the owner noticing, etc...

3) Ghetto Cricket Turbo - Xbox 360 Kinect game where you and up to three of your mates are urban street toughs (ie: chavs) in Manchester who play street Cricket with a vengeance (and adjustable speed setting). Break windows, upset cars, knock down trash cans, throw bystanders through fences...there's no holds barred in this quest to recover the ashes of your pet guinea pig from the team who currently holds them! Rated M (for Manchester).

4) Mystery Chipmunk Slaughter - Hacked NES ROM of the classic Disney "Chip 'n Dale's Rescue Rangers" game that turns the brothers' tranquil home into a den of inequity and torture ripped straight from the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

5) Excruciating Chainsaw Fantasy - PS3 Move-enabled high definition game about loggers who dream of living better lives and decide to take the bull by the horns (so to speak) and slaughter their way through the local community until their demands are met. Bisect, decapitate, maul and wood-chip anyone who gets in your way, and fight for your right to reclaim flannel shirts from the Grunge crowd.

I'll do a few more, since no one else is participating yet... :)

1) Urban Golf Gang - A group of street-tough middle managers gather for their weekly golf outing against the local gangs and play for turf. If the businessmen win, you can expect to see more parking garages and skyscrapers. If they lose, they better have the local 5-0 on speed dial, cuz shit's about to get real on these streets. Cross-platform release on PC, PS3 and 360.

2) Everybody Loves the Rabbit Dungeon - And it's true! With a Diablo-style isometric crawl through a bunny warren, cute always wins! This one has Facebook game written all over it.

3) Aquatic Cowboy Boxing - Guess which sport is being added to the 2016 Summer Olympics (and is being developed by EA)...? Wii only (shovelware).

4) Sid Meier's Kung-fu College - The master of the simulation takes you on a trip back in time to Asia in the 1500s, where kung fu remains uncorrupted by Western ideology. Use wrist locks, elbow strikes, and arm flourishes as you battle your way to graduation day to earn the right to compete in the ultimate Battle Royale! PC exclusive.

5) Depressing Submarine Kombat - Timed-release exclusive on the PSN, this cel-shaded brawler depicts the truth of the ennui encountered by US naval officers stuffed into a long, hard tube and surrounded by seamen for months on end. Midshipman First Class Wang Long has had enough, and is desperate to escape the dreariness of underwater duty. With nothing but his fists, his hat, and his trusty black boots, he'll beat his way to the bridge from the engine room and force the sub to surface so he can swim to a better life.

1) Dwarven Desert Fun - A mysterious vortex sweeps up a clan of dwarves from their mountain home and deposits them smack-dab in the middle of the Sahara. Dwarves only do two things for fun: get drunk and kick ass. And there's no booze for a thousand miles. It's on, bitches!!

2) The Sims: Hitman 64 - It's always been easier to destroy than to create, especially with this expansion to the best-selling computer game series in history! Using always-on internet connectivity, drive your SimHitman to your best friends' neighborhoods and ruin their dreams and aspirations. Bring death, destruction and terror to unsuspecting families as you carve a swath of devastation through houses, yards, workplaces and schools. PC only. Requires online activation and persistent internet connection.

3) Amphibious Juggalo Alpha - Fans of ICP, your time is now! Take your love for Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J to new lengths and heights as you follow the Faygo-spewing duo on their new cruiseline-only Tour of Insanity. You'll be the first in line to see them perform, or you'll sleep with the fishes...

4) Musical Arcade Gold - Not a video game at all! This is a soundtrack compilation of the very best in arcade tunes from the 1980s in all their original chiptune glory. Jam to the likes of "Snowfield" from Contra, "Level 2" from Rolling Thunder, and "Dragon Battle" from Black Tiger.

5) Royal Zamboni of the Dead - Sometimes the name just says it all... ;)
