I just recently did a run through of Metroid, Metroid 2, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, and Metroid: Zero Mission.

The shocking thing was with the exception of Metroid itself, they all have really held up. I forgot just how much I loved Metroid 2. I really could go for another old school Side Scrolling Metroid again.

Prime was good, and that's coming from someone who hates playing shooters with analog sticks. I have the trilogy on the Wii in case I want to replay them. With that said, and the same goes for other franchises like Mario, Megaman, or Zelda, while the 3D versions were fun I'll always prefer the 2D style.

Like the above person, I don't even enjoy 1st person shooters, but Prime and it's sequals were such great games. They had great controls, even when transferred to the Wii. The 2-D games were great, too. Super is one of my favorites. Everything was right about that game.
