X-box 360 With Hdmi Out?

In case you missed it, there is a story up over at xbox-scene.com stating that Microsoft is planning to release future versions of the 360 with an HDMI port. It's a rumor at this point but it would have important consequenses for HD-DVD functionality.

I don't know how I feel about companies releasing modified versions of their consoles. I was shocked to learn that Nintendo stopped putting component-out ports on the later model Gamecubes.

That would be crap if they did that. Everyone else who bought one earlier is getting screwed. My TV has hdmi port, and I guess it gives me a better picture, I bought these expensive cables for my satelite and it all looks the same to me.

I suspect its just a rumour at this point, not many people have HDMI equipped tvs
