Gmail Email Address?

Recommended Posts

When I was trying to initially register, I was unable to use "gmail" for my email address. I used my Hotmail account, but I would prefer to use my Gmail. After registering, I tried changing my email to my Gmail email account, but IPB said it was already taken. Could I have possibly registered here at some point in the distant past? I'm not sure. I do not remember if i did or not. I mean, I suppose I could have, but if I did, it would have been at least five or so years ago.

When I try changing my address in my profile, to my Gmail address, I receive this error: "That email address is already in use."

Gmail addresses are blocked from being used here because of the amount of spammers that used gmail accounts to come in here and post crap. The new forum software is supposed to be better at curtailing the idiot spammers, so we might be able to lift the ban on gmail and see how it goes.
