Other than the flaws mentioned below, all of the pages of my guides are in great condition.

420, can you tell me if the covers of these are in too bad of shape to scan? I know that the meat of the guides are probably OK though.

The Earthbound one I'm not sure of to scan at all. First of all, here's the cover:

p1010001ef1.th.jpg

It's not great, and there's a tear in it, which is on the back side. The next page also has a tear in it:

p1010003ev3.th.jpg

The edge of one page is worn since it's coming out a little bit.

p1010005ha5.th.jpg

And on one page, the corner is missing. :unhappy:

p1010008qx4.th.jpg

But it does have the scratch 'n' sniff cards though:

p1010010mp7.th.jpg

The Donkey Kong 64 one has some remains of a sticker:

p1010001mg1.th.jpg

The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Seasons/Ages' cover definetly isn't up to par:

p1010028pz2.th.jpg

Luigi's Mansion still has a sticker and some white creases:

p1010021ga4.th.jpg

Metroid Prime 2 has a fold in the cover:

p1010024so1.th.jpg

Metroid Prime's cover has those same white crease-tear things:

p1010017pl7.th.jpg

Wario World's cover and some of it's pages are bent on the corners:

p1010014as1.th.jpg

Super Mario Advance 4/ Super Mario Bros. 3 is fine.

The Fire Emblem guide I can't find at all.

Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones has a few of those white crease things at one corner and a scuff at top:

Pretty much all of that is fixable in PS.

With the tear...just line it up proper in the scanner and it should almost be unnoticable.

The sticker should be removed carefully.

The only thing that really sucks is the missing corner but don't let that stop you from scanning. Just scan it as you have it and mabey someday someone will rescan that page.....

Heh, it looks like you got two copies of Sword of Mana and Pokemon Colosseum.

Anyway, I just thought I'd explain why I haven't been around lately.

My parents are divorced and I've been at my dad's the past week and a half or so. My computer (with my scanner) is at my mom's....but, my mom has dial-up (on one phone line, so I can't stay on long) while my dad has DSL. So, no matter where I'm at, I can't send any scans! ...Until I go back to school in two and a half weeks.

And additionally, if I remember right, my box/instruction booklet scans are approaching 600MB...

But uh, yeah, that's why I haven't been updating. When I get to where I'm scanning the guides, I'll start posting questions and such about properly getting them scanned without de-binding (and not breaking my scanner lid pressing down on the binding... )

I'll be pretty busy this semester, so I can't guarantee that I'll finish my scans in a jiffy, but when I do, I may start helping you out by purchasing and scanning.

Also, I've been doing other things at my dad's, so that's why I haven't messed with the guild thing too much. But once I'm finished, I'll see what it's all about!

I just had a thought on how future releases could be done since you mentioned that you were considering organizing them either by system or by year. An alternative method would be to release by game series. You could release a Mario set, a Zelda set, a Metroid set, a Rare games set (Banjo, Jet Force, Goldeneye, etc.), a Pokemon set, a Donkey Kong set, an RPG set, a Racing set and perhaps a set to catch the few games (ex: Animal Crossing, etc.). There is obviously a bit of overlap between these categories (ex: does Super Mario RPG go in the RPG set or the Mario set?) but it shouldn't matter that much where the lines are drawn. Also, these divisions would keep the torrent sizes managable.

Does it have to be on Gay-Porn? That place is so tight, nobody can get an account.

All you have to do is ask

Send me a PM with your email and I'll send you an invite.

Or just keep checking the site, accounts get deleted all the time. (you could sign up right now "10,999/11,000 users")

I like google first because it is a great community and second because torrents are better seeded when on private trackers (less leeches)

I'm in the IRC channel now asking them to reactivate my old account (I had one ages ago but hardly ever used it and now it's been disabled for being inactive), but I'm getting no response at the moment (unlike the quick replies from helpful people like you, 420, these people are slow as hell).

I did get an invite when I found out it was disabled a few days ago, which I then clicked and tried to reactivate my old account with or get a new one. It told me my IP is already in use: "Signup failed! The ip xx.xx.xx.xx is already in use."

Looking at the responses from the users in the IRC channel, I'm screwed here. :(

I do understand why you would want to torrent your work on a site like google cos it forces people to seed, so the torrent won't die as quickly.

EDIT: AND unfortunately after being a nice guy in pursuit of a way of getting access again, speaking with the nice google people patiently in the IRC channel as said above, they turned out to be unreasonable (they don't have a system in place whereby if your account is disabled you can get re-enable and get access again, even though I barely downloaded anything (1GB.. ratio of 0.17). I'm, as you can call it, shitlisted). Anyway, to cut a long story short, they started getting all sarcastic and 'smart aleck' with me, so I lost my patience and ended up telling them that their tracker sucks with no system in place and for them to suck me. They're worse than Petrified tracker admin, at least they give you the opportunity. Even though both Petrified and google are trackers with snotty kids at the helm.

I'm sure those are some quality scans I'm missing out on 420. Is there any chance somewhere in the near future you can post them to a newsgroup or something? I know this is probably asking a lot since you're doing a lot already. But I was going to download them and seed like hell on the tracker. Due to google staff being a bunch of unreasonable idiots I can't do this.

Despite google's ignorance and stupidity with regards to all users in my situation, I will try and find a way around it and I suggest everyone else does the same.
