I had this. Nice to see some of the "we can't license any official images" era of strategy guides on this site. I also had the BradyGames guide which was slightly better since it didn't devote tons of page space to a bunch of GamePro-ass comic book people. Also this guide refers to a Shy Guy as a "ghost Koopa".2 points

Hi there! I appreciate the upload, you've made my life a lot easier while I've been working on one of the wikis for the .hack series. Your comment in the description helped me notice the weird numbering and I think I've finally figured why the numbering is the way it is. It seems that different volumes of .hack//G.U. The World were released under different Magazines, all of which were published by Kadokawa. I only noticed it thanks to the Kadokawa website's product pages, which I've included in the links below for each respective volume. #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #7, #9, and #11 were under Monthly Asuka (コンプティーク) #6 and #10 were under Comptiq (コンプティーク) #8 and #12 were The Sneaker (ザ・スニーカー) Hope this helps!1 point

This is pretty awesome. I worked at Funco in November of 1995 so I'm remembering some of these games and their prices. Special commission for every copy of Genesis Monopoly that you sell, Mike! Gotta get those numbers, Mike! DON'T YOU WANT A FUCKING PIZZA PARTY AT THE END OF THE MONTH MIIIIIKEEE!!?!?!1 point

The last physical issue of Video Watchdog, produced in 2017. Digital versions of this issue were given away for free on VideoWatchdog.com for anyone to download; physical copies were made available for a flat $20 (or $25 outside the US). Subscribers received a physical copy signed in silver ink on the inside back cover by magazine editors Tim and Donna Lucas.1 point

Ironically, the "adult" in "adult PC games" hasn't been a necessary inclusion since the time this mag was published, since it was the very late 90s/early 2000s that saw the almost complete death of PC gaming in Japan, from which point onward "PC game" became completely synonymous with "eroge." (Something I learned awkwardly after some students asked if I played video games and I replied that I mostly played PC games - cue fits of hysterics)1 point
