  1. Here's another one I owned as a kid and only remember upon seeing this image. The "Final Fantasy III Best RPG ever!" got my attention since I wasn't thrilled or impressed by the NES original, and the American SNES Final Fantasy II (IV) was actually a really awesome game and deserves a better remake/expansion/retranslation than it's received in all the years since. This magazine actually got me interested in asking for the "Final Fantasy III" as a gift, but even as a kid I could tell that something was up with the translation. Some lines were so cringe worthy and embarrassing in my mind even as a kid. I mean stuff like "son of a submariner", "run run, or you'll be well done!" and just overall stuff like that I mean, really?! I used to hold onto old gaming magazines like this as outside reading material, sometimes you found more information by more thoroughly going through it from cover to cover. This magazine is totally worth reading for its hugely detailed section on the American Final Fantasy III, just to look at how it's changed, and then go over to legends of localization to see what a terrible job the translators have consistently done to all of the Final Fantasy's.
