Inside EA Sports Volume 2 Issue 2

  6. I'd like to express my sincere thanks for whoever made this EA Sports In The Game magazine (ad?) available. I remember having a physical copy of this when I was in middle school. I snagged a copy of it while leaving an Electronics Boutique store at my local mall. They had a display with a stack of them as you entered the store. I was saving up to purchase my very own 32-bit console, but was undecided whether it was going to be a Sony PlayStation or Sega Saturn. I poured over this magazine on a daily basis. I snuck it into school with me in my Trapper Keeper, studied it on the bus to and from school and during lunch hour. It came with me on every car ride with the family. I looked at it so much that every page was practically memorized. Eventually made my purchase of a Sony PlayStation in fall of 1995. I saved this magazine for many years after my purchase as a keepsake, but made the mistake of throwing it out while downsizing my things out of storage 15 years later. A couple of years after I was looking over my library of PlayStation games and reminiscing about the memories I had with them, and immediately started thinking about this magazine. I regretted throwing it out immensely, and began searching the web for it in hopes I'd find a digital version. I didn't have a clue where to begin searching for it or what it was called, and eventually gave up after an entire month of searching. I was convinced it was gone forever and assumed the only way I'd ever see it again was in my memories. Today I decided to randomly peruse Retromags and saw that iconic cover of Joe Smith taking a shot over a white background. It took me only a couple of seconds to realize a lost relic of my younger years that I thought was gone forever has been found again. My heart jumped out of my chest. I was elated. As I poured through each page, I was instantly transported to being a teenager again reviewing system comparisons and console profiles before taking the plunge into 32-bit gaming. From the bottom of my rediscovered teenage heart, thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this. I am sincerely grateful.

  8. I have issue 2. It's in my basement somewhere and it's in terrible condition with a ton of tears plus I don't think I got the attatched Pokemon code book but if I ever dig up my old crates I'll try to pry it out of the overstuffed magazine holder I shoved all my old game mags into.

  9. @Vox Never mind. I missed your attached photo of Pocket Gamer. Looks like one of your grails is coming soon!

  10. Well you're in luck. I just sent Pocket Gamer #1 To @MigJmz. So based on his schedule, we'll see that before long. However if you're the same person that mentioned this before, I think you're looking for issue #2, which I didn't have. I saw one on ebay last year, but I was unemployed at the time and could not justify trying to bid on it. I still have a saved ebay search.
