Notable Stuff:

  • The cover art shown for Fighting Force and Tomb Raider II in the Eidos Games ad is preliminary, and was changed for the final releases.
  • The dominatrix-themed ad for Deathtrap Dungeon shown in this issue (and several other magazines of the period) resulted in a huge outcry from parents for sexually-suggestive imagery in a magazine aimed mostly at children and teenagers.
  • The Clock Tower ad is designed to look like an actual review on first glance. From Software did a similar sneaky thing with its King's Field ads.
  • The art guy forgot to make the white background of the Dracula artwork for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on page 91 transparent. Because of this, it completely wipes out a chunk of three different screenshots, as well as the words 'The Night' in the game's title.
  • Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi is one of the "Big 15" games of E3. By the time it comes out, it will be reviled as one of the worst Star Wars games ever created by every reviewer of the day, save for GamePro's Scary Larry.
