Noteworthy stuff:

  • At the time of the article's writing, only Raiden 1 was actually playable on the brand new PSEmu emulator for DOS and, according to the staff, it ran at about 2 FPS. Contrast that with newer efforts like DuckStation which allow unprecedented compatibility and improvements to graphics and speed, and it's amazing to see how far the PS1 emulation scene has come in the last twenty-five years.
  • No rating is assigned to the ASCII PlayStation Carry Bag. As the reviewer notes, "How can you rate a bag?". But it looks cool, and has enough space to carry your system, the required cables, two controllers, and some games.
  • In the Backlog section, City of Lost Children is incorrectly referred to as "City of the Lost Children".
  • Fantastic Four remains PSM's worst-rated game thusfar.
  • None of the RPGs released in 1997 year earn a 'Naughty' rating in the PSM Holiday Special!
  • Thanks 2
