Anyone who works in the computer industry has heard of CompTIA. Basically CompTIA is a company that provides vendor neutral computer certifications. One of the most popular certifications that CompTIA offers is the A+ certification. The A+ certification is two tests that cover PC hardware and software. The cost of getting this certification is about $220 USD but once acquired...lasts a lifetime
    Or so we thought!
I myself am a CompTIA A+ certified technician. I studied for months, ponied up the money and received my title back in 2002. Now since 2002 I have not really been back to the CompTIA website. I just did not have the extra cash or time to continue on with the other certifications. Fast forward to the present, I am finally at a point in my life where I have a good stable job and some free time. I start making a list of all the certifications that I wish to acquire. I go back to the CompTIA website and what do I see????
    New Terms

    http://www.comptia.org/certifications/listed/renewal.aspx
What the hell! Are you fucking kidding me? How can you tell hundreds of thousands of people that when you certify with CompTIA that its good for life, and then pull this shit. According to Wikipedia, over 800,000 people are A+ certified! So you just expect 800,000 people to hand over $220 every 3 years??? Before you pulled this little stunt of yours, I had planned on getting the following certifications...

    Network+ ($220)
    Linux+ ($220)
    Security+ ($240)

Do you know how many CompTIA certifications I plan on getting now? ZERO!!!!! Thats right, because even though you are only expiring 3 of your certifications....I am not going to let you get over on me again! You have lost my trust CompTIA! We all know that companies throw that BS line into all documents that says that they can change the rules at any time. Sorry but if you tell 800,000 people that its a lifetime certification, thats how it should stay. If you do decide to change the rules, then the people who certified before you changed the rules should be grandfathered in. You know what you are doing is complete BULLSHIT! Oh sure you have other ways that we can renew our certifications, but we still have to pay a yearly maintenance fee for our certifications? I will leave it at this CompTIA, you lost out on the $700 in revenue I had planned to spend with your company. Its moves like this that start the downward fall, I hope you realize your stupidity before your company goes bankrupt!
For anyone who wanted to see the previous way that CompTIA advertised their certifications....May I recommend using the Wayback Machine at Archive.com I have started a Facebook Boycott group against CompTIA, everyone is free to join. Hopefully with enough supporters we can get CompTIA to rethink this horrible decission. Start by contacting CompTIA here!

Now that EGM Issue 5 has been scanned, I decided to give Gamepro some love! Yet another early issue is getting scanned for preservation. GamePro Issue 3 was published in September/October 1989. Remember that we are still looking for GamePro Issue 2 as its currently missing!
Should have this scanned in a few days, I have been distracted for a while but that is over with. Its now time to scan!

Back on November 16th 2006 I stood in line outside my local Bestbuy waiting for a chance to buy a Nintendo Wii. I cared nothing about the PS3 launch that was happening the same week, and years earlier I ignored the launch of the Xbox 360. All I knew is that I would own a Nintendo Wii on launch day, and thats what I set out to accomplish. I believe that I ended up with two controllers, two nunchucks, two classic controllers, and 4 games. Within a week I was the most popular house for people to visit, people loved coming over to play some Wii Bowling. It was obvious that I was going to need an additional two controllers.
So I did what anyone would do, I went out and bought the remaining two controllers. When Nintendo launched the Wii Motion Plus add-ons last year, I had my girlfriend buy me 4 of them for my birthday. Now after THREE years of the Wii being around, Nintendo decides to finally add some additional colors for the controllers? Seriously Nintendo this is lame, you are not being cute or funny with this. You and I both know that after 3 years of being around....and having multiplayer titles such as Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports Resort and others.....that we all have 4 controllers.
You should have launched colored controllers WAAAAY earlier in this consoles lifetime. This is just another way to siphon $150 out of my pocket. Congradulations! It worked When I opened up my Bestbuy circular this past weekend and saw that you launched a Blue Wii remote AND a Pink Wii remote....no longer could I ignore the Black Wii remote you lauched last year. The need to have different color controllers overtook me, and I purchased 3 more Wii remotes to add to the 5 white ones I already have.
Why do I have 5 white Wii remotes? Well because you gave me a free one when I bought Wii Play. I wont even go into how much that game stunk here. Anyways, now I am going to have to put these extra controllers up on Ebay/Craigslist to try and recoup some of the cost. One question remains though, you finally decided to provide colored Wii remotes, but you couldnt get the Wii Motion Plus or sleeve to match? Only the black Wii remote has a matching jacket and Motion Plus. Again are you going to wait until we buy these ones, and then introduce the matching colored Wii Motion Plus accessory?
Many of you may be questioning why I want the colored controllers. Well I like being able to distinguish our controllers if we both place them down for a quick break. Sure I could put labels on them, but most of the time my controllers are inside of the Wii Wheel accessory. I do quite a bit of Mario Kart Wii each week, and those races can get pretty heated. Most of my guests will drop their controller in anger when I blue shell them 10 feet from the finish line and steal first place. Now due to my awesome skills in Mario Kart Wii, I am pretty sure that a few of my controllers are "mis-calibrated", and knowing that I have an "adult owned" controller that is not fugged up....is one of my keys to winning at Mario Kart. With these new colors, I will be reserving the black Wii Remote for my exclusive use.
While on the topic of the Wii Wheel, should I expect that you will be releasing a black, blue and pink version of those also? Ohhhh Nintendo you sure know how to drain my wallet dry

Today I went to my local Starbucks which happens to be located inside of a Safeway grocery store. I proceeded to order an Iced Caramel Macchiato to relieve the stresses of my workday. Now I deal with stupidity on a daily basis with my IT job, everything from forgotten passwords to explaining why a computer will not work in a power outage. The last place I expect to deal with stupidity is at Starbucks....but today I was not so fortunate. After ordering my Caramel Macchiato, I got back in my car and started to drive back to my work. The first sip of my drink and I noticed something was off, but hey maybe its just me. I continue to drink away and notice that I can not taste any caramel at all, but yet I see it in the bottom. I finally found out why I could see the caramel but not taste it. The stupid clerk who I will refer to as a clerk because he is surely not a barista.....put the caramel in a SEPARATE cup! Yes that is right, he filled the bottom of my cup with caramel.....then put another cup on top of the caramel.....then filled the cup with ice, milk and espresso.
I am left with questions that will probably never be answered....
    1) Why two cups, surely the iced drink would not give me frost bite?
    2) Did you not feel the resistance of the sticky caramel as you inserted another cup?
    3) Why did you not top off the drink with more caramel as is usually done (partially negating out your stupidity)?
    Pictures below.....

Look into the depths of my eyes!
Here we have Teddy Ruxpin, a toy from 1985. Teddy Ruxpin who we will refer to as "T-Rux" for short, was a teddy bear that had a tape recorder stuffed into him. While he looks innocent to the naked eye, upon turning him on....he instantly has control over any child's soul. T-Rux was more effective than Ritalin in the late 80's and much cheaper. Some people think that T-Rux's cassette tapes contained subliminal messages, but to date no evidence has been found to support this allegation. The commercial below shows just how effective T-Rux is with controlling mass amounts of children. While T-Rux's powers of mind control are powerful, they seem to lose their potency against adults. Still I must warn you that if you feel queezy or lightheaded....to stop this video immediately and seek medical attention.
