  1. Just asked my girl, turned out to be one gold and one silver. I love my country.
  2. I used to listen to Retronauts all the time, but I found them to be extremely jaded at times. With the N64 podcast for example, instead of talking about all the great games it came of like there were no good games on the system that anyone could remember besides Mario64. And the ones they could remember had "aged badly", whatever that means. Although I have to say that their recent Famicom podcast was quite good. The one I listen to every week is RetroforceGO! Their knowledge doesn't go as deep into the subject of retrogames like with the retronauts crew, but it's a great podcast nonetheless. Used to listen to IGNs Nintendo podcast, but the constant teasing of "I know something you don't, and it's so huge you're gonna burst out of your pants, but I can't tell you", followed months later by "oh, what I was talking about was The Sims go Snorkeling btw" was getting on my nerves. That along with the whoring of their own shitty games that were supposed to be in development made me turn away and I haven't heard one since. Dual Screen Radio isn't bad, but it can go on a bit too long sometimes. Especially when they go about some trivial detail no one wants to know.
  3. That's what I meant. At the time I posted we had 0 medals. Don't even have an idea how few we won (or got out of pitty) in the end.
  4. Club Nintendo Vol.5 Issue 3 - 1993 (UK) Wiki page here. Download page here. Rapidshare link Only got this one in this morning and I've been working on it all day long to get it released by tonight. I hope you enjoy it.
  5. Ah, you mean it that way. I think they will only bundle the plug itself along with the game. Don't know how much Wii Play sells for in the US but over here in Europe it can be had for €35 if you shop around, which is actually €5 cheaper than a regular controller. So I believe the retail price for WiiSports Resort+plugin will be no more than €40.
  6. Hehe, that's funny. Might have to do with me linking to the site whenever it's appropriate.
  7. Well I have the original on PC-Engine if that counts. Absolutely love the game. Castlevania 4 on Snes is still my favourite though, but Dracula X plays more like the original NES games. So in that light it's simply incredible. Not sure if the control problems are due to the port/remake nature as the original one controls perfectly, again, just like the NES games.
  8. Oh I got the replies mixed up... I was thinking Florwarrior was talking about Wario Land and didn't see it was originally about Sonic Unleashed. Oops.
  9. The hell..... was my first reaction when the image hadn't loaded yet. Sitting before my laptop with a blank stare on my face. Then the image came up and I had to look for a second to see what I should be looking at. Looks like the work is finally getting around of how awesome I am.
  10. They could charge $100 for this game as far as I care, I'd still get it day 1. Same goes for MegaMan 9.
  11. I actually have 4 Pal DreamCasts and one Japanese one. To be honest I did blow through my first Pal DreamCast pretty quickly, but that was due to letting some amateur a-hole mod my DC so I could play Bangaioh when it came out in Japan. He was someone who had modded dozens of PSones and said it wouldn't be a problem. It might not have been a problem had he not completely botched the mod in such a way that the system overheated when it was on for long. He had modded dozens of PSones and said it wouldn't be a problem to do the DC, but I didn't know at the time it would be his first shot at one. The mod didn't work and I didn't have to pay him, but he left a not so nice surprise inside my not even one year old system. I opened it up myself because it started making very strange sounds when I was playing it for over an hour. What I found horrified me. Not only was there a spiderweb of wires cluttering the inside of the system, as well as a dead mod chip still inside, but he had actually taped the mod chip partly in front of the fan. No wonder my system overheated. I kept it for replacement parts and bought a new one. One my friend who bought and sold his systems every couple of months was planning to buy some other guy's complete DC collection, he had but one problem. It came with a system and he already had one. So he asked me if I was interested in taking it of his hands for a mere €50. I did so and put my new DC back in the box as a spare. About a year later the DC's lens broke down. Probably because the previous owner had been playing lots of pirated games on it. Luckily I could use the lens from my old dead DC and replace it. Still works till this day. So in that way I'm always trying to look forward a bit and buy spare hardware for my systems before they become hard to find. (6 brand new unopened Nintendo GameCube Wavebirds speak for themselves ) Only payed €116 for the all those DC controllers and VMU's, including shipping. So it's quite a bargain. The systems that are hooked up downstairs in the living room are my Wii and a Japanese Saturn and DreamCast. Everything else is stored away upstairs for easy access, for whenever I want to play something else.
  12. Just bought 16 brand new DreamCast official Sega controllers as well as 12 brand new official VMU's. I guess I'm set for life when it comes to DreamCast.
  13. That's so cool! Never had a 3DO and I'm not planning on buying one, but I will read this magazine. So awesome that even this system had a dedicated magazine, no matter how small it might be.
  14. Got my copy from Amazon.co.uk Think it was around €30 at the time. It's up again now.
  15. $70 Wow, no way! The price point I keep hearing is under $20 and Nintendo is promising to keep it as low as possible.
  16. I would if I could, but I'm not sure how "safe" a book would actually be to scan and upload. Don't want to step on anyones toes and put the site at risk.
  17. Damn, totally forgot about Conan... It's been a couple years since I last saw it as they removed NBC from the cable. :( But I've got satellite tv, so I should really think about turning on NBC once in a while.
  18. Besides my second Japanese copy of Picross DS, this one came in today:
  19. Lost Dexter House 24 Battlestar Galactica WWE Ghost in the Shell SAC Old ones: Star Trek Married With Children X-Files Sledge Hammer V Sleeper Cell
  20. Well that the thing there. Saturn and DreamCast have always been arcade machines first and a home console second, so that really shines through in the games catalogue. It all depends on if you're crazy about arcade games or now, and I love them.
  21. Didn't realize they were that short! Well that gives me even more incentive to start them when they are released. One of my favourite RPGs ever is pretty short actually. Panzer Dragoon RPG/Saga. I believe my first play-through was 16-18 hours and it should be able to go through it in 12 or so. Really want to do it again one of these days. But I'll be busy for a while with Dragon Quest 4 next month so there's no rush in releasing them, at least not for me.
  22. When these hit over here I'll download them in an instant. Now that I think about it, could actually get a US copy for the PCE since the CD games are region free. I've had the Master System version of the first game for many years, but like with so many RPGs I never finished it at all.
  23. I came in here expecting a picture of Jack Bauer. Indeed. I feel the same way.
  24. Yeah I know. It's just that those are some underhanded tactics if I ever saw them. I've seen these things done to certain classic games as well. Buy as many copies as possible up from someone for cheap and artificially inflate the price even more than they normally are with webshops and collectors/resellers asking too much. Blatant greed like this just rubs me the wrong way.
