  1. I replay the Fire Emblem games on a regular basis, as well as Final Fantasy Tactics. I also replay old DOS games from Apogee, like Biomenace.
  2. I liked Pac Man for 2600... hmm, let's see.... Game Boy Exposure: 20 games Least Favorite: Mortal Kombat II This one is actually a little difficult. I liked all the games I played for gameboy. The thing is, I traded Donkey Kong Country 3 for this. I regretted it so much. The Killer Instinct port I had for gameboy was nothing great and even that made this look pretty weak. Super NES Exposure: 40-50 games Least Favorite: NBA Live 98 I got this game because my friend had it for playstation and I didn't have one, haha. Should have expected it would be nowhere as good. I still logged tons of hours on it, though. Playstation Exposure: About 50 games Least Favorite: Gauntlet Legends I had heard how popular this game was in arcades, and got the playstation port of it... to my great disappointment. Terrible, terrible game.
  3. props to Gnash for having a Yusuke avatar. awesome. Uh, other than PC of course, I'm gonna say Playstation. I got it at the age where I started being able to buy stuff for it, so I went nuts on buying games for it. I was a huge diehard squaresoft fan, so if there's a square rpg for playstation, I probably have it.
  4. My favorite SNES games, Fire Emblem 4 and 5, were never released in the US, sadly. There are fan translation if you wanna go that route, though. Anyway for great stateside released SNES games... I'd recommend both Lost Vikings games, Earthbound as previously mentioned, Zelda: A Link To The Past (imo the best zelda of all time), and Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
  5. I was considering getting some classic SNES cartridges recently, but didn't end up jumping. it DID inspire me to get out the SNES and hook it up and spend some time with A Link To The Past, though. I was finding that SNES cartridges seem to be going up in price these days, when about 5 years ago or so I could find many of them very very cheap. Nowadays it seems most of them are in the 10 dollar range. Even games that weren't exactly uncommon. Here's a collage of some of my classic goods.
  6. The first console I ever got as a kid was the Game Boy Pocket. this was the one they released after the original, where it was much smaller but required AAA batteries instead of AA batteries. I remember it was really cool compared to the regular game boys which by comparison were huge and clunky. Unfortunately they came out with the game boy color really soon after that, it was crazy. I can't remember the span of time but I got my game boy pocket and like less than a year later the game boy color came out and i was already obsolete. i had to get one of those too, to stay hip. I didn't actually buy my own game console until I moved out of the parents' house at 18, when I got a gamecube.
  7. oh man, without going into the consoles that I have that are still considered *current*... I still have my old Super NES, the redesign where it was really small and more streamlined instead of boxy. I also still have my old silver Game Boy Pocket, and a lime green Game Boy Color. I guess my onyx Game Boy Advance is getting a little retro now too, haha. I might have my dad's old Atari 2600 lying around somewhere too, though whether it's in working condition or not is questionable.
  8. Hi, my name's Paravani. You can call me Para. I'm 25, got a lot of old Gamepro magazines boxed up somewhere, but most are probably not in the best condition and already widely available on here... I should dig em up and scan the best ones anyway though, for the sake of preservation. More available copies is always a plus. I joined up hoping to find some of the magazines from around 96 and 97 before I started subscribing. Nostalgia's a hell of a drug.
