  1. i'm hoping some day this gets finished and finds a release on an actual Genesis cartridge (even if it's unofficial). Wily Wars was a lot of fun, and 4-6 are when i feel the series really hits its peak.
  2. if the controllers for this thing are fully backwards compatible with the original system, and of a decent build, i might pick up a couple of them. Last time i tried, the good majority of my joysticks were un- or under-responsive. Haven't played my 2600 in probably a decade, so memory may be faulty.
  3. i don't even know what to say about this line of magazines.....
  4. what a weird magazine! who knew Yahoo had a print format?
  5. Hi @RetroChiGuy1212, all magazines hosted on this site have been scanned by a member or the scanner has given Retromags the express permission to host said scans. If you were the one that scanned these magazines, we would be happy to host them here. Unfortunately, if they are just something that you ran across while online, they would not be able to be included. Hope this helps!
  6. this is really cool, but not something that i can't live without. hope it gets funded for all those that wwant it tho!
  7. i came across this "Classified Information" dossier on the release of Goldeneye 007 for the n64. i don't know if it was something included in a Nintendo Power magazine, mailed to subscribers, or available in stores somewhere? i don't remember this as a kid, although i definitely was still subbed to NP at this time, so i'm leaning towards the latter. Anyway, i gave it a quick scan (i had to do some tricky editing due to only having a flat scanner and this being slightly larger than a standard mag) and wanted to share it here. Not really sure where it fits into the site. https://www.mediafire.com/file/10imcbkgjikk4ad/Confidential+Information+Goldeneye+007.rar/file
  8. next up for me is Wario Land for the Virtual Boy. i completed the first one on Game Boy a month or two back. Planning on playing the whole series this year.
  9. just completed the original Crash Bandicoot on the PS1. Man, this game was WAY harder than i expected it to be. some really interesting concepts in this one, and i love the story of how they "hacked" the system to push the boundaries. but some of those levels are SO dark (dark as in lighting, not dark as in tone) that it's damn near impossible to see anything. and some of those 'running away from the camera' stages are so frustrating with the limited depth perception. All of that said, i enjoyed the game quite a bit.
  10. Hey, so i ran across a user on Reddit that is scanning some Legend of Zelda strategy guides, and he agreed that they could be cross-hosted here. He asked that we also reference his work at his site (https://historyofhyrule.com/ ) which i would think isn't an issue. Link's Awakening: Link's Awakening (from Germany- some really great pics included in this guide! as well as the poster from NP4: and SO much more!
  11. if anybody can share a scan/photo of page 23, which is missing from this scan, it would be incredibly appreciated.
  12. probably just aesthetics. This way, since the dragon is facing to the left, it subconsciously drags your eyes that way too.
  13. i have never heard of this, but AWESOME discovery!
  14. Battle Chest! yes! that's totally what i meant. was just looking at some Diablo 1 big boxes on eBay, so got my brain all twisted up.
  15. pretty sure i have this guide somewhere, but i've never read it. did it come in one of the "big box" versions of Diablo 2? easily one of my all time favorite games. would be fighting it out with Legend of Zelda for the #1 spot.
  16. i just started playing Cuphead (now that it's FINALLY available via a physical release!). man, this is difficult in all the right ways. The graphics are gorgeous. the sound is great. the gameplay is brutally tough but fun. i love this game already and i'm only a handful of stages in.
  17. whoa, this is awesome. amazing work, @retroprime!!
  18. which issue is missing, and is it currently in someone's possession to scan?
  19. pretty good video there. i think you did a good job on covering the positives and negatives. i did not even know about the glitch you mentioned that gets you to the graveyard. cool info!
  20. a couple years ago for my birthday, i put together a fighting game tournament. What i didn't tell people was that it was a BAD fighting game tournament. The games gradually got better, but the first round was pretty abysmal. Featuring such "classics" as Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game, Shaq-Fu, War Gods, and Pit-Fighter.
  21. link it up after you post it. Zelda is my favorite franchise and i love Zelda 2. i wouldn't say it's my favorite, but it gets WAY more hate than it deserves. just beat it again last year.
  22. SAME! i've been on a push in the last few months to get some of the accomplishments before D4 releases (rumored to be in April). need to wait for the Anniversary event (usually happens around New Year's) to get the last couple i want to get. i only play single player, and usually get WAY too drunk when i play, so it has been a longer process for me than most. but i'm enjoying it, so no complaints!
  23. gotta be honest here, i've never upgraded a PC. don't really do much PC gaming, plus i'm usually YEARS out of date anyway, so it's not a big deal.
  24. i want to third the love for all the 80s mags showing up recently. awesome!!
