  1. I think you're referring to the display dates for these two. They're called June/July and August/September on the editor's note page, next to the list of staff. I'm only missing the yellow 1-1 and 1-3 in my collection. I do have quite a few doubles of the GP Guides as well as normal GP, if anybody wants to trade.
  2. Thanks for the info. So it looks like the 8 issues I mentioned make up the complete pre-1990 list of GP Nintendo Guides. I definitely haven't seen any others, and I've been watching Ebay auctions on a regular basis for the last year. Here's what I believe is the full list of issues, along with what's on the cover of each: 1 1-1 1988 yellow issue 2 1-1 1988 flying guy 3 1-2 1988 knight/dragon 4 1-3 Friday the 13th 5 2-3 Jun/Jul 1989 bionic commando 6 2-4 Aug/Sep 1989 sports 7 2-5 Oct/Nov 1989 stone statue 8 2-6 Dec/Jan 1989 double dragon 2 9 3-1 Feb/Mar 1990 godzilla 10 3-2 Apr/May 1990 maniac mansion 11 3-3 Jun/Jul 1990 rad racer 2 12 3-4 Aug/Sep 1990 rescue rangers 13 3-5 October 1990 castlevania 3 14 3-6 November 1990 smb 3 15 3-7 December 1990 bttf 2-3 16 4-1 January 1991 dragon warrior 2 17 4-2 February 1991 bart vs space mutants 18 4-3 March 1991 ultima 4 19 4-4 April 1991 gauntlet 2 20 4-5 May 1991 tmnt 21 4-6 June 1991 sports 22 4-7 July 1991 black belt bonanza 23 4-8 August 1991 dragon warrior 3 24 4-9 September 1991 ninja gaiden 3 25 4-10 October 1991 bill & ted 26 4-11 November 1991 home alone 27 4-12 December 1991 super mario world 28 4-13 Winter 1991 castlevania 4 29 5-1 January 1992 mega man 4 30 5-2 February 1992 bart vs world 31 5-3 March 1992 contra 3 32 5-4 April 1992 zelda 3 33 5-5 May 1992 street fighter 2 34 5-6 June 1992 tmnt 4 35 5-7 July 1992 super battletank 36 5-8 August 1992 robocop 3 37 5-9 September 1992 young indiana jones 38 5-10 October 1992 bart's nightmare 39 5-11 November 1992 toon time 40 5-12 December 1992 wing commander 41 5-13 Winter 1992 home alone 2 42 6-1 January 1993 magical quest 43 6-2 February 1993 battlemaniacs 44 6-3 March 1993 mega man mania 45 6-4 April 1993 star fox 46 6-5 May 1993 alien vs predator
  3. I've been trying to collect this magazine, and it's pretty frustrating with the separate "Buyers Guide" and "Strategy Guide" issues, as well as the confusing numbering system. Even the list of issues here on Retromags doesn't really help. I'd like to know exactly which issues are needed. Everything from 1990 onward seems pretty straightforward, since they did away with the Buyers Guides. 1-1 1988 - yellow issue 1-1 1988 - flying guy 1-2 1988 - knight/dragon 1-3 1988 - Friday the 13th 2-3 June/July 1989 - B.Commando 2-4 August/September 1989 - sports 2-5 October/November 1989 - stone statue 2-6 December/January 1989 - double dragon 2 There are two issues with the volume 1-1. The first is the "yellow issue," which seems to have come first. It's listed here on Retromags as both Winter 1988 and March 1989 (almost certainly wrong). The second 1-1 is the "flying guy" issue, which has a later "display until" date on the cover. It's followed by 1-2 and 1-3, which have been uploaded as issues 2 & 3 here on Retromags. That doesn't seem correct - someone was probably confused by the two 1-1s. Here's a list of the display dates for some of the early mags: 1-1 - January 17, 1989 1-1 - March 14, 1989 1-2 - May 16, 1989 1-3 - March 14, 1989 2-3 - August 15, 1989 I don't know why the 1-2 date is later than 1-3. It does seem like there are variants of each mag, with and without those dates (maybe subscriber vs newstand copies?). The issue of 1-2 uploaded here doesn't have the date, but mine does. Anyway, the main question I want to know is how many issues exist in between 1-3 and 2-3? Retromags has 1-3 as issue 3, and 2-5 as issue 11. That would suggest 5 issues between 1-3 and 2-3, although there's only a few months in-between those dates listed above. That also doesn't take into account the two 1-1s listed above, so maybe only 4. Also, Retromags is missing a listing for the Winter 1992 issue, so that's another strike against that list. Clearly, at least 2-1 and 2-2 are out there, right? Any other 1-x issues as well? I'd really appreciate it if someone who has a full set could chime in.
  4. I believe those are the copies that were mailed to Fun Club members.
