  1. Was this the same guy that supposedly jumped from one moving vehicle to another moving vehicle while under pursuit from the US Army in order to evade them? I heard about this and it just sounds so farfetched, like it was from a movie.
  2. I'm real pleased with this announcement. I was planning on getting a Wii, and wanted to have a reason to buy the New Super Mario Bros. game, so now there's another reason to get that DS.
  3. That's a lot cooler than my mom who goes to bed at 6pm in the evening when its still light outside.
  4. Yes, I agree. Thanks for the video link, though.
  5. Too bad he didn't have a R.O.B. perched on his shoulder.
  6. Yeah I actually play with a defensive character and have no trouble getting by against the power ones. It's a matter of learning how to play, and believe me the computer is tough. Once get online, i think it's the best experience, except now it's starting to get tainted with cheaters and boosters and whatnot. It's definitely a pick-up-and-go game, which is what drew me to it in the first place.
  7. I used to like IGN, way back before they got so ad-friendly. Every links requires a login, or an advertisement to be bypassed and most things require a paid account. I hate IGN.
  8. Awesome, that's good news. Thanks!
  9. hahahhaha, I forgot all about that "Do the Mario!" thing too. I'm gonna have to pick this up.
  10. Check out this sweet dude over at break.com http://www.break.com/pictures/bb834.html Wish I was that cool. He's got a Staff and everything!
  11. Well, while I was wandering the vast aisles of my local Best Buy, my brother goes, "bro, look at this!" So I look across to see none other than a Super Mario Bros. Super Show DVD. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BSZAG...?v=glance&n=130 This is the show that had the live action scenes with actors playing Mario and Luigi. I'm sorry to say I didn't have the cash to buy it, but I'll be getting it soon. Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone who might be interested. It was only like 20 bucks.
  12. this could be a pretty big deal either way it ends up: they get off free, or if they get fined or something. i'll never forget the day i logged on to my trusty suprnova and it said it was down and never coming back. very disappointing at the time.
  13. I remember it and owned it way back when. But then again my family was always the family with the old crappy stuff while everyone had the cool new stuff.
  14. I just wanted to let anyone around know about a great game that just recently came out for the Xbox360. It's by Rockstar and it's called Rockstar Presents Table Tennis. It may sound cheesy, but I highly recommend at least renting it. The online tournaments have been addictive to say the least. And it's one of those games that's very easy to pick up and start playing, but has such a great replay value. It's one of those games that are "easy to play, difficult to master" and you'll see why when you play online. So if you got a 360, go check out this game please. And you can find me on LIVE gamertag MrSlayerJenkins.
  15. I love Dane Cook. What album is it on or how can I hear that one?
  16. MBJ, I'd like an invite if you can. Send me a PM with any info you need, or if you just need my email it's mrslayer@showdownarmy.com
  17. I never heard of it before, but it sounds pretty interesting. I'd like to check 'em out as well.
  18. Well, I know I haven't put much help, but I finally got some cash I can donate a few bucks to the cause, so if you guys are setting up another donation thing you can put me down to help.

    A Small Gift

Hey, that's fantastic. Great find. Thanks a lot for the memories.
  20. I thought you could upgrade it without having to reinstall all of your modifications. It will keep the database intact, though, right?
  21. Now there's nothing like doing it yourself, you'll get a lot of fun and experience in that stuff. I've read, however, that the SlikStik control panels are very, very reasonably priced because they are getting great bulk discounts on every piece of equipment that they provide, so while they won't be passing all the savings to the consumer, they can competively price their product. I've also read that their control panel is very well-assembled and lots of care go into building it so that the inside is as neat and well thought-out as the outside. The only advantage I see of building your own control panel would be that you can create a more unique setup tailored to what you'll be playing. If you think the Classic setup is pretty much perfect (which I do), then I would go with that. BTW, what kind of monitor do you got? One of those Wells-Gardners?
  22. Good point and I am the same way. The little easter egg napkin holder I made back in eighth grade was about the extent of my woodworking abilities and thankfully so I've not been around power tools in a long time. But aside from that here are a couple of the links that I've looked at as far as getting the cabinet pre-made, so you just have to assemble it. http://www.dreamarcades.com/upr.shtml This is a good site with a decently priced empty cabinet as you probably would go about building the computer yourself. http://www.mameroom.com/arcadecabinets.asp This one is great. I like the fact that they have a couple different designs and they are really nicely put together and not very costly. I think you may have to get a control panel as well, if they don't offer it with yours and the place to go, it appears, is SlikStik: http://www.slikstik.com/default.aspx?Affiliate=58 Lots of customizability and a high-quality product from what I've read. Keep me posted if you actually go through with it, as I've been interested in this for a while now.
  23. English, man. English please. No, just kidding. I think you are accurate with your statement regarding it's connection with warez and I agree with companies probably staying away from it for that reason alone.
