1. Yeah, Pat's kinda a lame host, but I thought this might interest some of you.
2. That's more like it for a game where half of the content is DLC. I'd still wait for a bundle that includes the DLC though.
3. Youtube Let's Player, Lateblt, returned to the scene with a new video featuring a Sierra classic games tile set for a DOS "Mahjongg" game. (crank up your headphones since his mic audio is low) He also discusses some new Space Quest related news, such a a reunion of the Two Guys from Andromeda on a new independent project. The Two Guys from Andromeda's YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/AndromedaGuys A couple new fan made Space Quest projects are also listed in the video description: Infamous Adventures: http://www.infamous-adventures.com Space Quest: Vohaul Strikes Back http://www.sqvsb.com Space Quest: Incinerations http://www.boxofmystery.com/games/incinerations
4. Man, that's tempting even though I don't have either system to play it. Also, I find it amusing how you've become Newsbot, and anyone else making these posts would be considered spamming, heh.
5. Searching under the original title, Mother, might find it.
6. It's the "Insert media" tag, the one on the end. Or type it manually like
7. I believe an ex-member scanned that a while back. It's still available in a Torrent on another site, so send me a PM and I'll try to point you in the right direction.
8. Just got my renewal notice for Game Informer, but there's no games I'm going to want to buy this next year to warrant renewing my GameStop card. I did appreciate the Gabriel Knight retro article in the latest issue though...
9. Playing this at a kiosk was my first experience with the PS1. The load times killed my interest in CD based consoles for years, until I had no other choice.
10. Yes, I do remember hearing about that book, but I likely never got around to linking it here before I forgot about this thread. It's cool to hear that a new edition will be coming, giving us that missed earlier ones a chance to pick it up.
11. I did take on the Google Maps "Quest"
12. Unfortunately, many of us tore out the trading cards when they were included. But I usually try to keep my stuff in pristine shape Also, I remember they would add a "last issue" warning cover pasting it over the original binding. Now some of my issues have the outer printing on the binding torn off...
13. Ah, another who had to share my pain of playing in B&W.
14. How did I miss ever posting in this thread? One of my favorite games ever, here. Lots of memories of playing through this multiple times in the early years.
15. Yeah, it looked interesting in Nintendo Power (not that they didn't also hype poor games). Looked like a rare case of a movie tie-in being good for once.
16. Just wanted to note that the UG Torrents for 420's Nintendo Power sans are still up after 1850-2200 days. Many have only a couple seeders (I agree there's a bit of a problem there), but the two oldest (in PDF, ugh) still have over a dozen seeders.
17. Who doesn't *dig* a little necromancy now and then?
18. *bookmarked* Man, I really need to categorize my bookmarks better. My frequently checked ones are almost lost in a sea of others.
19. I kinda liked the Wiki for the search-able index of each issue of Nintendo Power for the games covered in each section.
20. It's probably based on the clamshell Game & Watch that existed back then and that later inspired the form of the GBA SP and thus the DS and 3DS. Not to be a party pooper
21. Yeah, rarity and condition play a huge role in retro game collection, sometimes more than how good the game is. One of the most expensive Atari 2600 carts is a poor attempt at cross promotion by Ralston, yet its price is so high due to the extremely small number of copies around. Anyway, if you're just into LoM for the music, that's what sites like this exist for: http://www.tzone.org/~llin/psf/
